National Travel Service Paid for trip to bahamas never received trip or refund of money Clearwater Florida

My family and I booked a 4 day 3 night bahamas vacation through National Travel Services. We picked a date for the cruise and got approval of the date by this company in Oct 07. We also sent in a deposit to hold this date at this time. On August 18, 2008 we sent in the balance of the cruise and hotel money (total equiv to approx $1000.00). We were notified that 30 days prior to the trip we would be contacted by the travel service to pick a hotel from the list that they deal with to stay in while in the Bahamas. Our trip was scheduled for 12/29/08 1/1/09. The Monday after Thanksgiving we still had not heard from the agency, so we contacted them and picked out our hotel. By Dec 10 we still had not received any vouchers or confirmations regarding the cruise or hotel in the Bahamas. I had already, on my own, booked and paid for a hotel the night before and after the cruise. On December 12th I spoke with my travel agent Adam Davis regarding the trip and he told me he was having trouble booking the hotel because it was so busy in the bahamas this time of the year. December 16th ( 10 days before we were scheduled to drive to Florida for this trip) I still had not heard anything from Mr Davis and he was not returning many messages left for him. Finally after many calls and being put on hold for long periods of time I was able to get Mr Davis on the line. He said he was not going to be able to book our trip and we would receive a refund in 5 7 days. Today in now 1/11/09 and I have no refund, no trip and can not get through to the company. When you call the number for this agency it goes directly to a answering machine. Four people took a week and a half vacation time for this trip, 3 of us paid for our passports just for this trip and I lost 2 nights hotel money along with the $1000.00 for the trip.
