I hired Nationwide to transport my 7 Series BMW from Ohio to California. I paid them in full upfront.

Nationwide lied that they would pick up my car in 2 days. They charged me higher fee and refused to honor competitor's quote (even though their quote said they would match other quotes) because of the "expedited" pick up.

They never picked up my car. I called them at least a dozen times. "Will" always said "car is being picked up now." Or, "I will check with driver and will call you in 10 minutes with status." He did not call me back a single time, and would pretend he did not know who I was when I called him back.

Will had a different excuse why my car hadn't been picked up everytime I called him: "Truck too big, and couldn't get to dealer." "Driver delayed by another dealer." "Driver got to dealer, but it was closed already." "Truck broke down."

I finally spoke to "General Supervisor" Al Ameda. He admitted no one had tried to pick up the car. He said car would be picked up within 2 days (same promise as Will's for almost 2 weeks). When I requested lower fee because pick up was not "expedited," Ameda said he was cancelling my order.

Nationwide caused me to pay for a rental car, pay storage fees to the dealer for storing my car longer than I promised them, and pay a higher shipping fee because I needed to get the car picked up ASAP.

I heard there are many consumer complaints against Nationwide. I'm building a case against them, hoping to close them down. Please email me if you have a complaint, or know of someone who does.
