Nationwide Automotive Protection Warranty Activation headquarters. Very decieving advertising, changing their name and "appearance", strategy used by the most parasitic creatures of nature in order to survive. WORST COMPANY I HAVE DEALT WITH Columbia, South Carolina

In 1/08 I purchased an extended warranty from this company for my 2001 Audi A6. The total cost for this was approximately $5000, my monthly payments are $220/month. They went over the phone with me that only maintenance things like tires, battery, bulbs, etc. were not covered, the rest of it was. They drew the picture in very nice colors that was way skewed to the positive aspects of the contract and did not mention any drawbacks. Well, not to get into details and to speak concrete things - the other day couple months back I had to tow the car in and that was the only thing that warranty paid (50 bucks for towing). The life fact is that I ended up paying over 1300$ on that repair, none of which was tires or bulbs, it was some sort of main engine computer that was bad. Just a month ago the car's water pump all of a suden went on me, it started smoking - I immediately shut of the engine off and towed the car again - dealership had to do engine pressure testing to make sure seals were not blown. Warranty would not cover it since they said - they don't cover things due to overheating including it's diagnostic (fortunately the engine was ok due to my precaution, but I ended up paying an extra couple hundreds outside of my deductible for diagnostic fees). What kind of warranty is that? I finally decided to cancel it and wanted my unused premium back, well apperently the way they have their contract set up is that I don't get any of my paid, yet unused premium back!!! Last but not the least - they screwed up their reputation so badly that recently they had to change name  to Nationwide Automotive Protection from Warranty activation Headquarters, but they are the same people, be aware!!!

Consumer Statements Not Accurate

AUTHOR: K. Brotherton - (United States of America)

POSTED: Wednesday, December 09, 2009

Initially, Warranty Activation Headquarters, Inc., d/b/a Nationwide Automotive Protection (WAHQ/NAP) states we are a marketer/broker of vehicle service contracts for American Auto Shield (AAS), formerly Warranty America LLC.

WAHQ/NAP professionally and cordially states the information provided by this consumer is not accurate.

Please be apprised of the following: (A.) AAS paid $1,541.99 regarding this claim and (B.) that this consumer has worked with AAS directly, regarding 3 previous claims. In fact, per AAS, he now has 4 paid claims totaling over $4,400.00.   Further, WAHQ/NAP is in receipt of an email this consumer wrote to AAS, that ends, "once again admit you turned out right this time".

Finally, WAHQ/NAP is a member of the Vehicle Protection Association (VPA). Per their request, WAHQ/NAP amended its name to "Nationwide Automotive Protection" to reduce consumer confusion.

Thank you for allowing me to post the truth!
