Nationwide Readers Service Company Robert DeCriox SCAM, UNAUTHORIZED CHARGES, Virginia Beach , Virginia

This company called me from a blocked (unavailible) number and claimed to be a member from my bank offering me a promotional deal because I was a VISA card holder.

I recieved a huge list of promotions from several magazine publishers and all sorts of drawings (I was told I would be entered in a drawing held the following month for a 2010 Mustang or a cruise to one of several locations) and that they only needed to confirm my VISA card number.

I had never been called by a telemarketers before and was unaware of how they worked so I gave them my card number but when they asked for my security code I refused and asked that my card not be used to make any purchases or place any orders of any kind.

"Robert" begand to bombard me with discounts he could give me, like family or military discounts, and then told me that all I had to do was say "yes" after he pushed a button to record our conversation.

I made it clear I was uncomfortable with the conversation and he hung-up on me.

I just recieved a magazine in the mail today and spent two and a half hours calling and cancelling several subsciptions that had been placed by "me." One of the woman i spoke to said that I had talked to at least three people over the phone to confirm my subscription through their company.
