I was stupid enough to believe that slick-talking Kevin Treudeau and his "I can give you 2 FREE bokks on how to live to be 500 years old" scam. I bit. WRONG MOVE! I called the number, and they said, yes, it's only $4.95 for the book(s). 10 minutes later, and only AFTER they had my credit card number, they changed their story and said "It's only the first book that free, the other is $29.95. I should have said "CANCEL" right there. But I went on, they completed the order, and here it is 3 months later, no books, and a charge of $54.00 (not sure how they got from $29.95 to $54.00) on my debit card, plus they started charging me for their newsletter.

I did agree to check it out for 30 days (with the intention of cancelling it after I saw the first one) but they never sent me anything so I could look at it or cancel. I looked them up on the internet, no phone number, no way to cancel, you have to have your account number to "login" if you want to call it that, so if you never received anything with a membership number on it, how do you login to cancel? I sent an e-mail, and all I got back was a 1 word e-mail, saying "cancelled"- no signature, no explanation of what was cancelled, I still don't know if I will ever receive my books (at this, point I don't care, because if Kevin is this big of a rip-off, who can trust what he puts in his books?)

P.S. NEVER order anything from the internet where you have to give your debit card number for a recurring monthly program, the banks CANNOT stop these charges unless you close your debit card, and the banks have to reissue you another card, which can take a week or more to receive.

I got my books after 2 months, but what garbage!

AUTHOR: Steve rodgers - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, January 07, 2008

OK, so about 2 weeks after I enter the original report, magically (coincidence?) I receive my books. The one that caught my eye was the book titled "The Weight Loss Cure They Don't Want You To Know About"- first of all, I wonder who "They" is supposed to be. The entire book is all about Kevin trying to spin the idea that the entire government is out to make us all fat, and that everyone like the FDA are all in bed wit every food manufacturer to "spike" our foods with chemicals that make us addicted to their food. (Somehow I get this picture of Kevin in a bunker somewhere, cowering in a corner, dressed in military fatigues, sweating profusely, and thinking the US Government is going to break down his door and force a Big Mac down his thoat.)

The entire book is a load of crap. 155 pages that he could have summarized in 5. But then, he wants to sell books. He repeats himself no less than 12 times in one chapter- for effect? Nope, it's to make the book 155 pages long. And when he repeats himself he lists all the things wrong, which is usually 15 separate things.

He talks about this great weight loss "protocol" but first you have to read all about his conspiracy theory. Then he says the protocol is listed on his web site. (So WHY did I buy the book?)

"The protocol has been used by thousands of the world's wealthy and rich and famous", he says. THAT'S BECAUSE THE PROTOCOL REQUIRES THAT YOU GIVE UP ALL PROCESSED FOODS, OVER THE COUNTER MEDICINES, CREAMS AND LOTIONS, AND GET THIS ALL PROCESSED FOODS! There about 50 things you need to do, INCLUDING 15 colonic cleanses in 30 days. No wonder "rich and famous" people do this- they are the only ones who have "people" to do the stuff they will NOT be able to do when you have your butt flushed out 15 times in 30 days! You also have to have injections of some HcG substance by a doctor that will actually go along with Kevin's nonsense, and then eat 100% ALL organic foods for the rest of your life (or else you will just regain the weight, just like every other diet.) No mention of how much the injections cost. The "protocol" is so much crap and so impossible to follow I read the rest of the book just to see what other BS Kevin was spewing- just to get a good laugh. Unfortunately, it was mostly 60 pages of references and pages of Kevin's other books he wants you to buy.

So I called to get an RA (return authorization) number for the books, because the letter I received said you can't return them without an RA number, and was told that out of my $45.74 I was charged, the 2 books were free, (but the shipping and handling was $9.95 each!) and the 3rd book was also $9.95 for shipping and handling, so out of $45.74, I would get a lousy $14.95 back. Plus I have to pay to ship the books back. Plus, I have to call them after I send them and give the girl the tracking number or I won't get a refund! So they can sell all the books they want and let everyone keep them, and they still make money, because they overcharge for the shipping.

BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!!
