Signed up for free sample of Natural Max Garcinia weightloss supplement pills. Terms were ambiguous about whether length of trial was 10 or 14 days (in any case, 10 days was barely enough time for product to arrive, let alone evaluate it).

Terms stated that free trial could be cancelled within 10 days, via email or phone call to customer service, to prevent ongoing billing & shipments. We sent a cancellation email within 9 days of original order. Vendor did not acknowledge email.

The next thing we heard from them was that they were shipping another lot of the product. My credit card was billed immediately for this shipment.

I called them to deal with this. Customer service reps were very polite and competent, and spoke English with a faint Eastern European accent. First rep I spoke with claimed he had no way to see incoming emails to see if our cancellation email was received or not. Claimed he could not transfer me to the email customer service department that would've received it.

He offered to send me RMA instructions, so that I could return the product after it arrived in order to get a refund. I suggested that since our email had been ignored, the best thing to do would be to issue the refund right away. He transferred me to his manager, who I convinced to issue the refund immediately. She suggested I call again after the product arrived to get RMA information, but agreed to send it right away when I suggested that I didn't want to make yet another phone call.

The manager also acknowledged receipt of our cancellation email. I made a point of telling her that their handling of this reflects very poorly on their company. She responded that she was very sorry, and that "the warehouse will be reprimanded."

The manager suggested that the return would be prepaid. Howevver, the RMA email does not include a prepaid label, and actually claims, "The customer must pay for return shipping." and "We will not accept or issue a refund for any packages marked return to sender or refused."

We will be refusing delivery, and calling the credit card issuer to block any future charges.
