I received a bill from my local telephone company which included 2 charges on the same date for One Call / Opticom / NaviComm totalling $64.92. When I called the phone number for billing inquiries I was told this was for long distance charges through the internet from my home phone number.
I told them no one in my household accessed long distance on the internet and asked what web site was used. They could not tell me the web site, only that it was accessed through my home telephone number.
I called my local phone company and had them remove the charges and block future usage on this company. I since received a bill directly from OneCall Communications Inc. telling me I am obligated to pay. I have sent a letter of dispute to One Call Communications and filed a complaint with the FCC.

In March, 2006, I received a reply from my complaint to the FCC on Navicomm telling me that they forwarded my complaint to the company. The FCC went on to say that they received a response from Navicomm and I should have received one as well (which I didn't!). The FCC also said to write them a letter if I did not receive a response from the company.
I wrote back to the FCC on April 25, 2006, to advise that I did not receive a response. So far, I have heard nothing, but a least I haven't received any more bills.
What amazes me is that companies like this could still be in business.
