The other posts on this organization are quite accurate. They are a slick, high pressure sales organization that touts services they simply don’t have, nor can provide. They conduct an initial "evaluation" of your student athlete to give the impression they "screen" and only take "eligible" athletes. Judging by the questioning (which is not dissimilar to tarot card or palm reading) they will find a link that will justify an assessment that your student athlete is qualified for membership.
Then the sell, and upsell will begin. In our case we made it very clear what division was a realistic target for our athlete, and the type of schools we wanted. The target schools were based on academic and geographic requirements. Before we signed on, we were told these requirements for target schools could and would be met.
After we signed on, it quickly became apparent we were not getting any information from the schools or coaches that met our criteria. The schools were the wrong division (which our athlete had no chance to play in) and the schools didn’t match, or even approach matching, any of the requirements we had established. Numerous calls to our assigned coach/recruiter didn’t improve the results. It was clear they ere sending us what they had in their system, and not what we needed or was a fit for our student athlete.
In other words, they sold us on what they said they had (or hoped could get). After taking our money, they couldn’t deliver. The coach/recruiter we were assigned left after a short time, and replaced by another. Following that change, the communication fell off, and eventually became nonexistent. We persevered for 12 months trying to get what we paid for. But without success.
This is a slick, well presented group that portrays an aura of professionalism and responsibility. However, our experience shows them to be NOT a particularly reputable organization. Any reputable business who can’t deliver on their promise, would remedy the situation to ensure all their customers are happy and their brand and reputation remains a strong. Not this group. They convince themselves they offer a valuable service, and try to convince you of the same through their high pressure approach.
In my opinion the way they run their business is less than ethical.
If your student athlete has some talent there are more effective avenues to pursue, at a fraction of the cost, with better potential outcomes. Moreover, you won’t be wasting your time with this group thinking you are, or will, get somewhere.
That is time you won’t get back, and is priceless in your athlete’s endeavor to be recruited for college.
I’m also lodging a complaint with the Better Business Bureau in Chicago http://www.bbb.org/chicago/ . I plan to contact the Attorney General’s Office as I think there is an element of bait and switch in this operation.
