Neal & Massy Automotive Company ripoff Limited dishonest Port-of-Spain Trinidad

I bought a new Nissan Almera SGL in September 2004 that was plagued with problems. Although most were solved, there is one that continues to exist. There is a "screech" at every change of the second gear. This vehicle was thoroughly examined but the source of the problem could not be identified by Neal & Massy.

A Field Representative from Nissan visited but could not determine the cause and source of the problem. This situation is unbearable since there is uncertainty about the safety of my family and myself when using the vehicle. Although the problem cannot be determined and resolved, the chairman and others at Neal & Massy continue to tell me that the vehicle is safe to drive.

The vehicle is still under warranty and it is my understanding that if a vehicle is defective and cannot be repaired, then there should be a refund or the vehicle is replaced. The goodly chairman of Neal & Massy (one of the biggest private sector companies in the island) choose to offer me a devalued cost for the vehicle although it is still under warranty.

This is not only wrong but devious, deceitful, cunniving, and downright irresponsible and in general a BIG RIPOFF of the working class citizens.

I have been writing to the chairman frequently sending copies to the Transport Commissioner, Police Commissioner, Minister of Government, etc. However, Neal & Massy is bigger than me and has a lot of political influence so that it is impossible to get them to do the correct thing.

I have tried to contact Nissan Motor Company Limited but to no avail. The situation is critical and I require all the help I can get to ensure the safety of my family on the nation's roadways.
