on november 8,2010 we we received a community development block grant $25,000 twenty five thousand dollars. we were told to go to lowes home home improvment and pick out mid grade materials and give the list to the contractor. when we gave him the list he said  i will pick them out myself. in our small bathroom the contractor(ed & sons)vernon ny , came back with a forty six inch shower leaving six inches of space .

the idea was to make storage space. my wife and i were in syracuse ny when he put this shower in. my granddaughter was and is diagnosed with stage iv cancer which spread to her lungs,she can receive no more radiation . there was no ventilation put in to control the moisture, we now have water streaming down from the ceiling and walls creating mold and mildew. i reported this incident immediately to janice forte neighbor hood homeownership.

she told me i was not to contact anyone in her organisation.they then put in unfinished sub standard cabinets in our kitchen. i had a home inspector come in and inspect the bathroom and kitchen. he said when they put the huge shower in they cut away most of the sub flooring,thus leving a tremebdous safety hazzard.the inspector of the project was joe metacarpa same office.he was to moniter and oversee the project.i asked the contractor why he never came,he stated joe knows i do good work.

i was to sign the checks after ecah quarter of the project.  no checks were signed by myself or my wife, barbara. i got the documents from the freedom of information act,herkimer county. it clearly showed my name was forged. items that were already in our home were charged to this project.they destroyed our kitchen and bathroom. i called the office of community renewal in albany ,jennifer breen was in charge of the investigation, she sided right along with neighbor works . she will receive no phone calls from me.

i then called william o'connell buffalo ny case is closed no further communications. letters have bent sent to the attorney general ,office of inspector general, congressman richard hanna, legislature kurt ackerman,who came to our home and did nothing i live next door to a  c e o . he came in sunday may 13,2012 he stated that what this organisation and contractor did were unconsionable. they are cleraly responsible for fraud ,forgery and falsification of business records. no fire alarms or smoke detector  were installed ,a long list of home inspector findings (which i paid for).

metacarpa did no final inspection. i called the new york state department of health,one thing he did say ,was that if i could afford an attorney ,i would not need this grant.everyone one now gives me another number to call as they hear my name and drop it, the ceo that came to our home said,they are clearly trying to cover it up,i knew that also as i have fought this on a daily basis. the home inspector bottom line i never seen nothing like this.my granddaughter can no longer go near our bathroom, she stays with us a vast majority of time,before this happened

i could go on and on. we have been looking for an apartment as it is very unsanitary and  unsafe. when i move out ,which will be soon i want each and every sorce of media at my home for inspection and to answer any questions. i have the names of everyone from syracuse, albany and buffalo ,that knew this issue ,and id nothing to help. i write this letter under the penalty of perjury  any one can call or come to our home .this a sad but true incident , i would not use my granddaughter, only to say how it has affected her.very respectfully
