Complaint I hereby worn anyone who comes into contact with the owner of Montes Enterprises, LLC, which is an independent contracting trucking company, owned by Nelson Montes. He is an unethical scam artist, who is nothing more than a dishonest and conniving thief. I have met Nelson Montes as he was... shopping for a BMW in May of 2012. At that time, I ended up selling him a fully loaded 2012 BMW X5 50i, which had a price tag of almost $74K. As I became impressed with his buying power, I inquired into his occupation. He told me that he was an independent contractor, who owned a few trucks and transported general freight out of

Syracuse, NY and now also Newark, NJ. I asked him if there was anyway that he could help me get into trucking and he said yes. We were supposed to start right away but something kept him back. I proceeded to follow up with Nelson, as he was a customer who had purchase a car from me in the past. A couple of years past by and we found ourselves talking about trucking again. He told me that there was finally a small window of opportunity to get into trucking, which will involve me to pay for a $3,500.00 for a line haul contract and put a deposit of $2,100.00 on renting a tractor trailer. He said that I needed to hurry up with the money if I

wanted to be his partner. I don't know what possessed me to trust Nelson Montes, however in our conversations about doing business together, he did come through as being very sincere and trustworthy. As he did the math with me about our initial expenses, I first wrote him a check, made out to his company, Montes Enterprises, for $3,500.00. A couple of days past, he acted excitedly claiming that we got the contract and that we needed to come up with the deposit on the tractor trailer. At that point I wrote another check that he immediately cashed through his company for $2,100.00. He took my money and never came through on

his promise. Instead he lied to me for 3 months until he finally stopped returning my texts or calls. Desired Resolution In my interaction with Nelson Montes, I always put my best foot forward and trusted him every step of the way. In the process, I even spent $600.00 starting my own LLC thinking that I would soon need to start reporting my own income from doing transportation work. I would like to get all of my... money back from Montes Enterprises and the money I spent opening up my own company, which I will never use and instead will have to pay the state to get it dissolved.
