The commercial stated the coin was struck at the New England Mint and/or verified by the US Mint and would be a great addition to any collector! I collect coins, so this excited me.

I entered submitted my shipping & payment information. I believed it to be a true transaction.

Today, nearly six weeks later I received something completely different, It was no where close to the item I ordered & most definately no where near worth what I was charged for.

I received one 2$ bill that is colored and claims to commemorate The Grand Canyon and another one that claims tocommemorate Yellowstone National Park.

There was a charge to my account about 3 weeks ago, so I assumed it was shipped and on it's way.

I open the package today and was shocked to find these so called treasures. I have never visited either of these places, so why would i pay good money for a couple of 2$ bills commemorating them?

I looked for a way to contact them by phone but there was nothing except the address. When I looked the address up on-line, it was obvious I had been scammed!

I immediately contacted my bank and they began the paperwork process to get my money back or at least try ??

This is wrong and more than that, so sad that in the USA, a person can't purchased a US commemorative coin of the nation they call home

As I understand it, the main complaint here is that the OP thought he ordered coins and got bills.

It that right?

The advice to very carefully pay attention to the commercial is very good.

#1 Consumer Suggestion

You need to pay very close attention to these commercials!

I have seen thecommercial you spoke of.

If you were paying attention, it told you exactly what you were getting as well as the fact that this item was NOT being produced by any federal government agency.

It clearly stated the fact that it was being offered by a private company.

The wording is misleading, but all information was provided if you were paying attention.

And, here in the United States of America, we put the $ sign BEFORE the numerals.

$2, NOT 2$.

All you have to do is dispute the charge if you used a credit card or a Visa/Mastercard branded debit card.
