Run away from this place. They give car sales people a bad name. I corresponded via email regarding the validity of the advertised price and they insisted that there were no strings attached. I drove over an hour to get there and I provided copies of the emails. They blamed an employee for giving false information. In the end they offered the advertised price if I financed through them. I should have known that they were buying time to play with the numbers and make it up on the financing or 'the back end' as they call it. They think people are idiots and when the finance guy saw he was getting nowhere with me he knew that I found the extra $2000 he was tacking to the finance on top of bogus license fees that he had no clear explanation for.  The other funny thing is that when I signed the initial contract they tacked on an $810 delivery fee which they insisted I initial on the contract. That's when it started smelling fishy.

I walked out from the finance office and the next day bought a car from a legitimate dealer with my pre-approved Credit Union 2.99 loan. Good riddens Nemet Hyundai.

They prey on hardworking people

AUTHOR: Bob T - ()

POSTED: Thursday, August 28, 2014

The sad side of this is the folks that have worked so hard to save up for their first new car and drive away in a car that is underwater from the moment they signed those papers.  It amazes me that their is so little government oversight of these facilities. There should be some time of public announcement/campaign to let consumers know what a sales contract should contain and what it should'nt.

Car sales people are formally trained to play psychological games, such as delay tactics to wear you down until you want to take 'the deal' to get the heck out. The F&I guys are expert in the game of deceipt, they overwhelm you all sorts of calculations and funny numbers and try to divert you from reading the contract details.

The best advice is if the buying experience does not feel right, listen to your gut and walk out. You'll be greatful you did.

You did the exact right thing - you walked away!

I wish more consumers would do exactly the same thing you did: walk away when the dealership F&I guy adds in extra amounts or doesn't honor the agreement.

If more consumers did walk away like you rather than cave and sign, then the dealers would stop playing those financing games.

Thank you for walking away and thank you for posting. Hopefully that dealer goes out of business as a result of their tactics.
