Nemet Auto Center ripoff, con artist rip-off Jamaica, New York

I bought a 1998 Nissan Sentra on June 28, 2002. The cost was $9.000.00 I also purchased a bumper to bumper warranty for 3 years for $1500.00. They then convinced me to buy "Gap"insurance for another $1500.00. With payments of $268.00 monthly and $2000.00 paid immediately I could own the car competely. When I realized this was a total of $15,000, I called them up and informed them I would like to pay the total in cash, and to cancel the Gap insurance.

Nissan Motor Acceptance said to pay the whole balance and the Gap insurance would be refunded to me. I paid in full with a cashier's check by July 12, 2002. No Gap refund was ever made. They now say it's non-refundable. Nemet offered me a free trip for two to the Bahamas (to placate me?). They told me they made much less on the car because I paid so quickly.

I realize that I did sign an acceptance of Gap insurance, but 1 week later, I called them to cancel it. It has been a nightmare since. They completely deny responsibility.
