Neopets.com account frozen Internet
*Consumer Comment: Here is your answer..
my account too was frozen because of purchasing neopoints. what's the difference when you purchase from the NM Mall from neopets. A real big rip off. I've also been on for years.

It is against the terms of the Neopets account to buy/sell/trade neopoints. In fact it is the first thing they mention in talking about things that could get your account "frozen".
----
1. Neopets Is A Game, Not A Way To Make Money.
As a guest you do not own the accounts, activities, items, Neopoints, characters, locations, faeries, games and pets on the site; they are for you to play with while on the site. Except as permitted by the functionality of this site, you can't sell them (for money or Neopoints), give them to anyone, trade them for anything (including Neopoints), or pretend you made them. This means that you cannot try to make money off the Neopoints or virtual items in your account or even sell the time it took you to collect such items and Neopoints. If we find someone selling Neopoints or items, we will freeze every account controlled by that user and every account of the user who purchased such Neopoints or items.
----
So neopets.com is not the Ripoff, they are holding up their terms. If for some reason you didn't know that is unfortunate, but the Ripoff is more with the person who sold them to you and didn't let you know the risk. If you did know that it was against their policy and still did it, then you are as much to blame as the person that sold them.
