If you are seeking to work as a virtual trucker recruiter; I strongly advise anyone to stay away from Jobsforclassadrivers.com and Annette Carpenter. Here's why:
1. It is literally hard to communicate with Annette. She has an 800 number, which she never answers, so the only way to communicate with her is strictly by email.
2. If you work for her Trucker Recruiting company, you are expected to place ads to get potential truckers to call so, so that hopefully you can get them placed in a job that they qualify for. Note: This isn't the problem, however, when you send Annette the application of the trucker that you've taken over the phone or online; she acts as if she didn't receive it and when she does receive it she acts as if she's not sure when we can get the trucker an interview or she isn't sure how the interview went or she don't know if the trucker received an interview at all. With this information here, it's very conflicting.
3. She will tell you at the very last minute that she's not working with a particular trucking company anymore; even though you've already placed ads for this company and have drivers calling you or emailing you with the hopes of getting an application submitted.
4. While , the truck recruiter should follow up with a driver after an interview; Annette acts as if she has no clue as to whether a driver was hired or what the not hired reason was. Note: I mean if she is the Recruiting Manager, she should have a record of who her recruiters send to her and what their status is. For example, the so called trucking companies that she recruits for should supply her with the information necessary to say who was hired and who wasn't and if the person wasn't hired they would most likely give a reason why.
5. I asked Annetted a few simple questions and to avoid answering my questions, she blocked my email access to our server sytem. She could've acted as the professional woman that I thought she was, but instead she portrayed herself to be a coward!
When I came to this company, Annette was working with 2 other women. Apparently, she and another woman went their own ways and when I questioned Annette about the status of three of my truckers that I submitted to her and her team at the time; she informed me that one of the drivers had an interview. I contacted Annetted a few days later and she informed me that one of her other assistants informed her that the driver didn't have an interview. Note: I have an email from Annette stating that the driver was in fact interviewed. With another trucker, Annette advised me to ask the trucker how things went with him and did he get the job. Note: Again, I don't have a problem following up with the driver, but Annette should've known whether the trucker got the job or not. When I tried to call the truckers, I was unable to reach them.
I really believe that Annette and her team know the full status of all drivers that come through them and that they inform the truckers to not communicate with the recruiters after they get placed. I also believe that Annette and her workers lie about truckers not getting placed; simply so that they can keep the $400-650.00 commissions per trucker for themselves.
Nepean Migration/Jobsforclassadrivers.com is a company that operates under little communication, lacks honesty and cheat their recruiters out of what they have worked so hard for. I don't recommend any truckers to apply on their website and I don't recommend anyone interested in being a trucker recruiter to work for them either!!

#5 UPDATE EX-employee responds
Still not paid by nepean Migration (Annette Carpenter) Do not work for her
AUTHOR: Angry ex employee - ()
SUBMITTED: Monday, December 08, 2014
This rebuttal Annette wrote regarding this complaint about her company is total BS. I still have not been paid for work I did for her back in June 2014. I sent it to collections, she agreed to pay. Then she never did and says she has no money. I found out the client paid her more than double than she claimed she got for the work I did, and not only did she keep my cut, she also kept the extra portion she said she never got. So she lied to me, she kept everything, shes got money for the work I did but claims she has none to pay me, and she lied to the collectors. Oh ya and then she pretends to be someone else when the collectors call and says "she doesn't work for the company anymore." As if shes trying to hide. She OWNS the company and she is the only one that works there, the 1800 number goes to HER home office. Last thing she said before disappearing was she has no money. No money huh? Then what did you do with all the money the clients gave you for the work I did that you owe me? You can't keep money that isn't yours Annette and you can't not pay your employees just because you can't keep your own finances in order. At this point she just keeps ignoring the collections agencies so next step is garnishing her wages since her EIN (emloyer identification number) is still active and so is her business. I would advice all other recruiters owed money by her to send it to collections. Since so many people are complaining about it there is clearly a problem and she doesnt seem to want to fix it. She acts like a saint and makes up every excuse in the world, but in the end she wont pay you and she will disappear with your money. I got it in writing and verbally mulitiple times that she was going to pay but she never did. And I got it in writing from her again that she was late but she agreed to pay it and agreed she owed the debt. But she disappeared. Don't believe anything she says.

#4 UPDATE EX-employee responds
Poor communication and not getting paid
AUTHOR: unhappy recruiter - ()

Where to start? Working with Annette was a hot mess because she never seemed to do anything. She didn’t train any of her recruiters either and her communication was lacking. She would ask other recruiters to train the new recruiters and they weren’t even paid for that. She expected recruiters to find drivers and put in their applications, and get them hired. It’s tough work. But when Annette doesn’t do her job and doesn’t communicate effectively or respond to any issues everything just goes down hill. It was impossible to get a response out of her about anything. You never knew where applicants were in the process and no questions were ever answered. Then you never knew if she was telling the truth or not about drivers getting hired. Recruiters are supposed to be paid 33 days when drivers are hired. I got drivers telling me they are hired, Annette tells me they aren’t. So drivers are in a truck getting paid and Annette was paid for them but she doesn’t want to pay the recruiters. Why would the drivers lie about being hired? Doesn’t make much sense. They were happy about getting the job. I just think she didn’t want to pay her recruiters.
I did some digging and found out through other complainers that she isn’t in the USA but she runs an American business. She has an EIN (employer identification number) with the IRS so shes clearly reporting income here in the usa. Im going to have to guess that she is reporting all the income and expenses as if shes paying us recruiters so she gets a tax break, except she isn’t paying any of us, shes just keeping all of it.. That recruiter with the big complaint did his homework because I found out the same stuff. That isn’t right to not pay recruiters for the hard work they did and to make up excuses. I also found out that Annette apparently doesn’t keep any recruiters for very long, probably because we all leave because she isn’t paying us she just keeps all the money. If she was legit before she sure isn’t now. Any time I emailed her a question she didn’t respond until night time. I call her 1800 number and she never answers. She has us recruiters work various clients and carriers for her and I don’t think these carriers are aware that she isn’t paying us and that she isn’t even in the usa. I got ahold of her one time and she told me that everyone was defaming her business. It’s not defamation if it’s true. The fact that she fired people for reporting sexual harassment, well no wonder her business is falling apart and people are coming forward. It’s just not right. So here I am, wondering when Im going to get paid and I see im not the only one.

Recruiter, still not getting paid for work done long ago
AUTHOR: Unpaid Recruiter - ()

I worked for Annette for many months. It turned into a nightmare. It all seemed good at first, although communication was terrible with her. At first she even paid me early sometimes (her contract was to pay me at 33 days but sometimes she did sooner than that). But then one day a client had an employee that was sexually harassing myself and others. We reported it to Annette and she did nothing. She claimed that if we reported it to the client that no one would get paid and that it would turn into some terrible court battle etc etc. I have all of this in writing by the way. She basically threatened me that reporting it would mean non payment for the work I did and that it would affect all other recruiters and no one would get paid because the client would drop us. So I didn't report it to the client, although I reported it to her, my boss. Then she fired me.
She said she would pay me for the work I did do that she had pending payments for. I even got it in writing from her many times. She did pay at first but then stopped, and all the payments she did make were well over and past due the 33 days she owed me at. She made an excuse that the clients were paying her late. Honestly that didn’t matter because her contract with me was to pay me at 33 days and for all I knew she was lying about it. Then after quite some time she said she couldn’t pay me at all because the client did pay her. Bills and payments are still owed regardless of if you had the money or not. That’s like telling your mortgage company you wont pay because you weren’t paid yet. You still owe the money.
I got sick of the months passing by so I contacted the client myself and so did another recruiter. We found out she was getting paid and that she was also getting paid a whole lot more than she said she was by the client. So that meant she wasn’t paying us the right amount to begin with. I confronted Annette about this and suddenly all communication with her stopped. The last thing she said was she wasn’t going to pay anyone until someone else paid her for something unrelated but she likes to pretend it is. We think she stopped paying and ended communication because she knew we found out she wasn’t honest about the payments she was receiving from the client. I also learned that the client told her she needs to pay us for the work we did. Also, the client was never aware of the sexual harassment issue. So we reported it to them. The client then let her know they were now aware of the sexual harassment issue she did nothing about.
We then confronted Annette on more than one occasion that her firing us for reporting sexual harassment is illegal and what the law calls retaliation. She didn’t seem to care. We tried to do things right without reporting or filing against her, but since she ended all communication and payments, we could do nothing but report her. I myself reported her to collections and to the IRS since she has an American EIN. It could have all stopped if she just handled it properly but she choose to be so cruel.
Annette doesn’t seem to do anything about it because she apparently lives in Australia. So she thinks she has some force field up that protects her. Yet she does business in America. She uses an American address for business and represents herself as an American business. But she isn’t really any where near here. Which explains why the entire time I was employed with her communication was impossible. If any at all. If an applicant had an issue or if there was a question that needed answering, or an emergency, no one could get any answers or help from her until after business hours ended because she wasn’t even awake yet due to the time zone difference. By then it was just too late. We would end up losing the applicant or not being able to resolve the issue and money was lost.
Everything the recruiters are complaining about on here is true. Work with her at your own risk. No one wants to get on a website and complain or file about someone. It wastes time and it is so stressful. But she caused all of this and left everyone with no other thing to do but resort to branching out by other means in hopes of getting paid for the work they did. If this gets resolved I will gladly post it here. But considering her lack of response for months, I doubt it.

I have not tried to atttack Annette's character. I've only spoken about what I've personally experienced. I believe that Annette may be a great recruiter, however again I can only speak of what I've witnessed over the past few weeks with the recruitng administrators that I've interacted with and how I've been treated. I'm not going to get bent out of shape about this situation. Every day, I live by treating others the way that I would want to be treated.
In regards to this situation, I've put it in God's hands and if wrong was done unto me, then the wrong doer/s will reap what they so. If this is some sort of misunderstanding, then it will be in fact ironed out. I'm not in the business of discrediting anyone, I just believe in fairness and honesty.
At the end of the day, this is very minor. One of the things I learn from life is to can only judge a person by what they show you and hopefully this will turn into a fair situation.

#1 REBUTTAL Owner of company
3rd Party Recruiters
AUTHOR: Annette Carpenter - ()
SUBMITTED: Saturday, July 26, 2014
I have been recruiting truck drivers for 15 years and never once had a complaint. I have recruited drivers for many carriers including OTR drivers to work alongside the US Army in Iraq and Canada.
Recruiting drivers is hard work. I believe truck drivers actually make the best truck driver recruiters. I’ve lived in a truck and hauled across 40 states so I have a bit of an idea how hard the life of a driver is.
Many truck driver applications given by generalist recruiters do not meet DOT standards or the carriers’ minimum criteria and cannot be submitted. When a candidate gets an interview - part of a recruiter’s role, is to maintain contact with the candidate till the procedure is complete and give assistance with travel to orientation etc.
In my experience drivers love to boast of their new job and are very thankful for the recruiter who assisted in the process.
In 3rd party recruiting scenarios – recruiters sign agreements and get paid about a month after hire when the client pays the fee. The recruiter is usually the first person to know about the hire from their candidates’ exhilaration at getting a new job! The recruiter then sends their invoice for payment.
In my business, I am proud to be helping drivers and recruiters and 90% of the time, I pay the recruiter even before I get the funds from the client. Sometimes I’ve paid out within days of the hire taking place. My business pays via direct deposit and also gives recruiters “bonuses” and sometimes even pay for their advertising to give them a head start!
Recruiting truck drivers takes a lot of guts and determination to succeed and is the most rewarding job. It’s a great feeling you get when you know a driver got a job and a recruiter gets paid.
The person from Chesapeake writing the report I am responding to – has never submitted an invoice for a hired driver – I know this because I have never ever had a recruiter wait on me for money. It’s never happened. It’s a shame this site allows a person to make reports and hurt the reputation of people who have been helping the transport industry for over 15 years. A good recruiter knows exactly where their candidates are at all times.
