Ok, so I have been a regular customer at this local internet cafe called "Net Cafe", I go there at least once a week and I purchase at least 1.5 hours and buy sodas and other things, and today my computer shut off after my time ran out, and I needed literally one more minute, I Asked if I could purchase 15 minutes instead of 30 minutes, and he said no, well I was having a bad day so I did make a smart remark and said "so a few more nickles and dimes eh?", but then this guy asked me if I wanted my head bashed in, he actually threatened me physically, I couldn't believe it! This was the business owner!! How can someone do business like that? I don't mind getting attitude back if I slip up and make a smart remark to someone, but to threaten me physically just crossed the line.

I can't believe someone like this is running a business. So I guess as long as you behave like a saint, you wont get your head bashed in at the net cafe and Net Gaming Zone in Glendale California

Here's the best part, at the end, when I walked away from him to log out of the computer after paying him an extra 30 minutes just so I can logout, he shuts down the computer anyway after threatening to "bash my head in".

This business is a huge rip off, it's a SCAN probably ran by some "other" kind of business we don't know about.. STAY AWAY FROM THEM!

Net Cafe Glendale, Net Gaming Zone Owner Strikes Again

AUTHOR: aramk007 - (United States of America)

POSTED: Sunday, September 16, 2012

Hello Again,

It's been a while since you posted under your other accounts. Oh and you said you didn't bother replying on yelp, but actually you did reply, several times of which a couple already have been removed by yelp's spam bot.

Hey everyone, you should see where the owner then gets his friend to very carefully and inconspicuously post a threat to sue me on yelp, it's really very hilarious.   http://www.yelp.com/biz/net-caffe-net-gaming-zone-glendale

I have news for you, it's 100% legal to post your reviews and negative happenings at local businesses on websites like Yelp and Rip Off Report.

Any real customer reading this will be able to distinguish the difference between your posts and mine. You know, the best thing you could have done is put this matter to rest or resolve it with an apology. What you are doing now is actually refreshing all the negative stuff on the internet, and making it worse. Don't you see that? LOL

As you post more and more, it keeps rising up and affecting your negative rank even more so. Google loves fresh content, and right now you're just fueling the fire with all this stuff. If you would be a decent business owner, by now you would have apologized and allowed this matter to rest.

AUTHOR: Net Caffe - (United States of America)

POSTED: Sunday, September 16, 2012

OK this guy came to our store like 4 or 5 time max. The first day he came to Net Caffe he asked for 15 minutes in time and was advised by me (The Owner) that the minimum time required is 30 minutes & pointed to the sign that is clearly posted right at the counter front. He did the same thing, I think it was on the 3rd or 4th time he came in & was again advised that the minimum time required is 30 minutes (it costs $2). He got 30 minutes, sat down used the computer & when his time was up he asked me if he could log out of some site he was signed in. So I unlocked the computer for him to sign out & next thing I know (I was busy with other clients) it's been like 10 minutes & he's still using the computer, so I just closed his browser & locked the computer.

Now the last time he came to Net Caffe he got 30 minutes of computer time & when his time ran out he AGAIN wanted 15 minutes & I AGAIN pointed to the (Minimum 30 Minutes Required) sign & said "Minimum is 30 minutes" and this guy threw $2 at me and said "Here, let this $2 make you rich" & I told him "How he would like to be slapped with that $2" he said "OK can I get the 30 minutes" even after all that I still let him use the computer thinking OK his a kid (well at least to me!) he said something without thinking. After he used the computer he deleted all the files in the computer had the keyboard hanging from the table & left, by the time  I noticed he was gone.

Now I come to find out he's been posting negative reviews about Net Caffe.

This September 1st was out 12th year anniversary & we never have problems with our clients (I don't think we could last this long the way he described us).

As far as him telling the other guys about being associated with Net Caffe? Not at all... I myself just found out about this site. I was to lazy to even rely to his post on Yelp, but after seeing him post a review on this site, I just decided to write & tell everyone what really happened.

And as far as him reporting me to the police, they would have came & questioned me or maybe even arrested me. And we just received an Best Internet Cafe award from City of Glendale. ;)

OP need to figure out how the internet works

AUTHOR: Ashley - (U.S.A.)

" Who in the right mind would have fun reading through posts from consumers who had a bad experience with a business and just trying to rip apart their case piece by piece? Doesn't make sense does it? Especially with the kind of enthusiasm that all of you have shown and the negative approach you have taken, and the speediness / urgency of your replies "

I do. I enjoy finding posts on this websites from people that are clearly making stuff up and respond to them. I do enjoy ripping cases from people like you apart. It makes perfect sense to me, and the others that regularly post on this website. You know why we do it? To discredit things that are not ripoffs. The posts with no responses? They have likely been deemed okay or someone just hasn't read it yet. This site gets hundreds of complaints every day and we can't catch them all.

Yours is particularly hilarious. You are extremely rude to the owner of this buisness and freak out when he threatens you. Then you SPEND MORE MONEY at his buisness AFTER being threatened. You know what I do when I'm threatened at a buisness? I leave. I file a police report. I don't spend more money there.

Immature

AUTHOR: Ramjet - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, May 16, 2012

The OP is clearly an immature young person who got his feelings hurt.  I expect there was more to your 'smart comment' too.

If you have ever read any of the consumer complaint sites, you will find that there are people who regularly respond to reports.  That's not hard to understand after you read a few of the absolutely hilarious things people complain about.  While it's certainly not my only form of entertainment, it's sure pretty darn amusing.  Oh, by the way, your report is only mildly entertaining.  There are much more hilarious ones.

There are indeed people who report serious problems they are having and you will find helpful and caring suggestions, but there is a very high rate of people like you who just are upset at some silly occurrence and get all bent out of shape when people don't think it's the worst thing ever.

You accusations of the people working here make it even sillier.

If you want to play games, go back to school

AUTHOR: aramk007 - (United States of America)

POSTED: Tuesday, May 15, 2012

Astonishing!

I can't think of anyone that just reads this site for pure fun or sport, honestly! According to your statements, all of you just randomly found this one particular post, it is so incredibly interesting that you had to reply while many other reports I have today decided to look through don't have replies, and if they do, not so immediate as all of yours.

It truly shows how all of you are entirely too concerned with this topic, and that alone speaks for itself. Either you are all friends / relatives of the owner, the owner himself, or reputation management companies helping him fight his bad reputation, however, I doubt the latter is true since much of the writing looks like it is on the seventh grade level.

You are not going to fool any real people who try to look up this business and find the rip off report. Don't you even know how people find this site? They look up the business on a search engine because they want to know if it is wise to do business with them, then they find a rip off report, some people go as far as typing SCAM or RIPOFF after the business name if they are particularly looking for this.

Who in the right mind would have fun reading through posts from consumers who had a bad experience with a business and just trying to rip apart their case piece by piece? Doesn't make sense does it? Especially with the kind of enthusiasm that all of you have shown and the negative approach you have taken, and the speediness / urgency of your replies.

I don't care to answer any of your questions because all of you are just a part of this business anyway. Oh, let me use one of your lines in my favor this time, I bet the next thing you will say is the reason I didn't answer the questions is because I don't have the answers or your opinion is somehow the correct one. Well, I don't care if you think that, go ahead, continue to have fun trying to prove your case, but you are only digging yourself deeper by proving to everyone that the owner does have an aggressive nature. I just love how you decided after my rebuttal to improve your English on a post or two, maybe one of your friends actually knows how to sound like a normal person (in their writing that is).

Ah yes...

AUTHOR: Robert - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, May 14, 2012

The typical "You must be an employee" when someone doesn't like what was said.  Well I am about to give you an education as to why you are just making yourself look silly and very juvenile.

Interesting that the very next morning after this happened, you (the owner or affiliated) decided to reply to this post.
- Take a look at the top of this site.  You will see a heading called "Latest Reports".  Now, I will give you 3 guesses as to what happens when you click on that.  If you need a hint go click on the link and see what happens.

Also if you would actually take a look on this site you would see that it is pretty much SOP to say someone is an employee, or somehow affiliated, with a company when something is said that they don't agree with.  I think I have been accused of working for no less than a couple of dozen companies.

By the way, I did make a police report with the Glendale Police Department on the owner and the establishment. The police came to my home and took the report, gave me a case number, and documented the issue
- Interesting how you left that little bit of information out in your original report.  I am sure that when they came to your house you made it clear to them that you were in such fear for your life that you not only stayed but actually bought another 30 minutes of time.  How about posting a copy of the report(you can black out any personal information).

It seems rather perplexing to me that a stranger as you say you are (not the owner nor affiliated) would take such a strong stance on the topic without fully comprehending the true scope of what transpired.
- Then please tell us the "true scope" of what happened.  It's got to be better than what you have posted so far.

Out of all the places in the world, or even in your local community which on this site you claim is in "Irvine"
- Well it's better than Glendale :-).

By the way you never answered the question as to what you would have considered an appropriate response for your "smart remark".  And since you didn't dispute anything about your age I figure I was right on with that one.

How to make yourself look like a fool.

AUTHOR: Flynrider - (USA)

POSTED: Monday, May 14, 2012

You're really cracking me up.  Regular readers of this site know very well that Robert is not affiliated with the subject company.   All of your deductions and suppositions to the contrary just make you look even sillier than your original report did.

I especially liked the way you used the timing of Robert's post as some sort of "proof" that he was affiliated with the company.   What a brilliant deduction!   You would have looked a lot smarter had you bothered to find out that your post went to the top of the "Latest Reports" queue as soon as you posted it.   That happens to be where most regular visitors go on this site and those posts are also highlighted on the ROR homepage.  Guess what?  That is also the way that your post came to my notice.

When you get out of high school, I suggest you not seek a career as a detective.

The op uses the tried and not true tactic of,  that anyone that opposes his view in either the owner or in league with the owner. Blows the report out of the water.

Ok Owner - Who are you fooling!

AUTHOR: aramk007 - (United States of America)

POSTED: Monday, May 14, 2012

Interesting that the very next morning after this happened, you (the owner or affiliated) decided to reply to this post. Who else would be so condescending? It is indeed your ignorance that truly amazes me.

By the way, I did make a police report with the Glendale Police Department on the owner and the establishment. The police came to my home and took the report, gave me a case number, and documented the issue. I wouldn't take any chances, better to have this sort of thing on file.

It seems rather perplexing to me that a stranger as you say you are (not the owner nor affiliated) would take such a strong stance on the topic without fully comprehending the true scope of what transpired. So either you are affiliated (the likely scenario), or you are just a strange lonely person surfing the web, looking for any post you can find online to place your two cents on. I believe the truth lies in the former, if you really wanted us to believe the latter, you should have waited longer, and taken a less aggressive stance on the topic, everyone reading this will easily be able to tell that you are indeed involved.

Maybe the readers of this complaint should believe your fabrication:

"No I am not the owner, I do not work for this place, nor have I ever even stepped into one of these Net Cafe type of places."

I invite everyone reading to Google map this place, it's a small business, in a suburb of LA. Are you really telling everyone that you never stepped foot in this net cafe, yet somehow you found this post the very next morning (it was posted late at night around 11pm the night before), just hours after the post made it live on the website, by chance? Out of all the places in the world, or even in your local community which on this site you claim is in "Irvine", you somehow magically decided not only to comment on this particular post, but also aggressively take the side of the business owner?

I don't think so, but I hope one day you can convince yourself of it.

Curious

POSTED: Monday, May 14, 2012

Let's see, you are probably no older than your late teen's/early 20's, and if you are even that old I would be surprised.  I would bet that you are also a person who likes to "Dish it out" but can't "Take it".

I can also just about guarantee that your "smart remark" was said in a very..very "smart" way.  I wonder what "comeback" would have been appropriate in your mind?   If you felt threatened why did you stay, was your fear over not logging out overriding your survival instinct?  Why didn't you call the police?  I'll tell you why...you weren't scared, you weren't in fear, you just got your feeling hurt and are now lashing out the only way you know how.

I can even predict what you will say next, so to answer you now.  No I am not the owner, I do not work for this place, nor have I ever even stepped into one of these Net Cafe type of places.
