Net Detective, Net Detective Plus, Harris Digital Publishing RIPOFF, SCAM, FRAUD, BAIT AND SWITCH, DeLand Florida

First of all i want to say that both nedtdetective and their so called net detective plus is absolute garbage , worthless and an outright scam .

On 4/19/06 I did quite a bit of extensive searching via search engines looking for a good program to do some personal checks on individuals and did not want to waste my precious time or money on junk , I kept seeing multiple ads and search engine links which stated the following :

Do Not Purchase Background Check
Results Until You Read This Warning

The ads all would lead to sites one in particular is ( http://consumer-guide.to/Background.Checks/ ) , that pointed to netdetective as the number 1 pick to choose if
you wanted the best and is worded as follows :

I figured great something good and comes highly reccommended .
So I went on and clicked on the ad link for netdetective went to the site at netdetective.com and proceeded to register and pay .

After paying the 29.00 to access net detective I quickly discovered I had made a huge mistake , Why you ask , well because after I did my first search , I was then told that to get the results of the search I just did I needed to upgrade to netdetective plus for an additional 9.95 , leary I was , However, decided to give it a chance and forked over an additional 9.95 only to access netdetective plus and still not get any real results .
The very basic results it brought up which was extremely limited I coulda found at google or any search engine or phone book with one search for FREE .'

This seemed to be a constant money paying frenzy of a site , for each search you would need to pay for the next tid bit of info only to find out there was no more info that it was gonna provide.

I truly felt scammed here with netdetective and the plus crap and was so upset ( rightfully so ) that I contacted them within 4 hours by email via that contact form online and told them to cancel my subscription IMMEDIATELY and refund my money .

They are now giving me a hard time on the refund even though it says 30 day money back guarantee and in another place at their site it even says they give you a complete 90 days to be satisfied .

I was fed up with the place after about 3 hours , didnot even have the subscription 5 hours before I requested a cancellation .
Overall a complete waste of my time and money .

They did respond within 24 hours with an immediate cancellation of the account but then went on to tell me by email that I had to print out this rediculous online form and send it in to :

In reading the form I can clearly see that this send in the form mess is no more than a stall tactic and the form also refers to my downloading some software etc etc
I never downloaded anything , I accessed this all online without ANY download whatsoever .

Besides why should I need to send anything in to get a refund , I only kept the account for less than 4 hours and they have my card info so the same way they billed the card they can credit the card and now .

This place is an outright SCAM and I also now realize that all those ads and links that lead to all the different sights voting both nedtdetective and their so called net detective plus are most likely ALL set up by the same people ( THEM ) steering you to register for this JUNK .

I sure wish I had ran across this rip off site BEFORE I Had paid for that JUNK both nedtdetective and their so called net detective plus .
