Under NetWinner's original terms of service, points could be redeemed for gift cards or amounts loaded onto a pre-paid debit MasterCard, which the company promised to do within 60 days.

This year it became apparent that the cards were not being fulfilled in a timely manner. The company provided many excuses for not paying its members, ranging from moving office locations, training a new staff member, problems with setting up the debit MasterCards, to having to verify every winner to make sure they weren't somehow cheating.

In March they changed the tos to 90 days, all the time still assuring everyone who was worried about cash outs that were then about 4 months past due, that they were just behind but we would be paid.

On May 12, 2008, the company announced that they would not honor any pending redemptions and instead 'refunded' all outstanding redemptions with points that could only be used to enter raffle drawings.

This company cheated thousands of people out of the money they had promised to pay them. Please make sure everyone is warned about this horrid site.

Thank you

Thousands and Thousands Ripped Off by Netwinner

AUTHOR: Leftie - (Canada)

POSTED: Wednesday, May 28, 2008

I was also ripped off by Netwinner and was not paid what was owed to me through playing their games. But I do know that the Moderators and Administrators on the site were paid what was owed them and they kept telling all the players they would be paid just behind in redemptions. Anyone that posted negative comments on their forum were banned from the forum - as more and more people were banned and got together to take action the forum was taken down a few times and many posts were deleted - especially posts that had the members have to click on an Advertisement link in the game and post in their post to enter various contests worth points.

The forum is now not functioning and I suspect if it comes back up it will be all new and fresh with all posts removed so that new people who are unaware of the scam will not see many posts with the word banned under their name. But it was also noted that as we were banned from the forum that the member count did not go down - I would suspect that is to make it look good with high number of members, where meanwhile many that registered at the forum never did use it - no posts by them - and the of the ones that did post in there on a regular basis that over 1/2 were banned.
