MY NAME IS ANGELA PATRICK. ON FEBUARY 6, 2004 I WAS APPROACHED BY A WHITE MALE OUTSIDE OF A LOCAL BEST BUY STORE AFTER PURCHASING A CD. HE WAS VERY POLITE. HE TOLD ME THAT HE WAS TRYING TO GET SUBSCRIPTIONS ORDERS BECAUSE A PERCENT OF IT WOULD GO TO A TRIP THAT HE WAS ANTICIPATING. HE SEEMED VERY TRUSTWORTHY, SO I PUT IN A SUBSCRIPTION FOR " COSMOPOLITAN" MAGAZINE. I GAVE HIM $25 CASH AND HE GAVE ME A RECIEPT.
I GUESS I FORGOT ABOUT THE WHOLE THING BUT I WAS CLEANING OUT MY CAR ONE DAY IN MAY AND FOUND THIS RECIEPT IN MY GLOVE COMPARTMENT AND REALIZED I NEVER RECIEVED ANYTHING AT ALL. ANYBODY WHO KNOWS ME COULD TELL YOU THAT I AM ABOUT THE MOST GULLIBLE PERSON YOU WOULD EVER MEET. I GUESS THEY ARE ALL RIGHT. I HOPE THIS EXPEIRIENCE WILL TEACH ME A LESSON ABOUT BEING SO TRUSTING TO EVEN PEOPLE WHO I MEET ON THE STREET. I CAN HONESTLY SAY THAT I THINK I FINALLY HAVE LEARNED HOW TO SAY NO OR THAT "I'M NOT INTERESTED".

In response to SMURF:
First of all, she said that she purchased the magazine in February. Which would make it 3 months. More than enough time for her to have recieved it. Second, I worked for a "mag crew". NRSS to be specific. And the gave themself a bad name all on their own with no help from customers. Drug use, alcohol abuse, rapists, liars, etc. It was a SCAM. Period.

Tell the whole story!!!! Complaints like this are the reason why mag crews get a bad name.....I KNOW the reciepts say 30-90 or 90-120 days for First Issue to arrive so that the PUBLISHERS can put you on the mailing list. You said you bought it in April and found the reciept in May....thats 1 MONTH.....thanx for trying to cause more fear and make life more difficult for these kids. Does that make you happy? From someone with a kind heart to help the kid in the first place I am surprised to see such a dark personality.
