New Star construction knocked on my door on May 26, 2016 claiming they had replaced my neighbors roof and insurance had covered the cost.  Claimed they could do the same for me and they would go up and examine my roof. The gentleman that approached my door was a young man by the name of Bryn Ludlow.  He later referred me to his father, Bryan Ludlow, who was also very hard to reach.  After a month or so, of no one contacting me, I contacted New Star directly and was told by the owner Tom Gizinski,  that they were both no longer employed.

I had just had several shingles replaced due to a wind storm.  They removed the new shingles and applied their temporary  product to the areas.

They contacted the insurance company and had the roof inspected twice.  New Star basically only responded to my calls and texts when they thought there was money in it for them.  Owner was away much, hunting, etc.

Tom Gizinski assured me that he would repair the shingles as he had found them, if he could not get insurance to cover the roof.  He encouraged me to keep pursuing having insurance cover my roof being totally replaced, telling me they counted on customers to 'give up' pursuing , and that he had gotten many replaced and encouraged me to keep pursuing.. through court or whatever it took.    After expressing my concern in regards to snow, ice, wind and rain over many months and rarely receiving any contact from him, the first week in January I contacted him and asked him to please just come back and replace the shingles I had PAID to have replaced in May, and that he assured me he would replace as he had found them.

His response what that 'they had won'.  I asked him to please just come re-repair my roof as he had given me his word. He replied he would be billing my insurance company !

I contacted the original company who repaired the shingles that he took off , and they came with in the week to repair them for me.  The bill was $ 125.00.  I called New Star's office.  Sent a text to Tom personally, and also emailed that I was forwarding the bill to them.  Of course, I have received no response.

I am a single mom.  Shame on Tom and New Star Construction !

I simply want the $125 reimbursed as they took off the brand new shingles I had just had repaired earlier in May.

Thank you for any help -
