New Star Discovery Pagents DAUGHTER WON PAGENT; NEVER RECEIVED $1000 SAVINGS BOND!!! Rockford, Illinois

I entered my daughter in the local New Star Discovery pagent in 2007. She won, and went on to Nationals, held in Chicago, Illinois. My husband and I were so excited, we traveled from Dallas, Texas to Chicago and paid for everything out of our own pockets, of course.

Well, our daughter won there too, and she won a $1000 savings bond from New Discovery. That was August 2007 and we have yet to receive the bond! I have called their company twice to complain, and they just take down my informtastion and let me know that someone will be contacting me via mail. I have never received a letter. Today, I received an email from their president, and it reads this:

A message to all members of New Star Discovery

This newsletter is to apologize to all of you for the neglect that has been shown through New Star Discovery.
My name is Rowdy Adams, I have been the president of New Star Discovery for over 20 years. I have always taken great pride in this company because we are so natural and so fair.

I know it has not appeared that way over the last year. I will take the blame. I have had a lifetime of the unexpected happen over the last year. I am not searching for a pity party from anyone. I lost my dream home and everything I ever owned to a fire. At this same time the economy was taking a toll on my business.

I am asking that you all forgive me for walking away from my business for the last year. New Star Discovery has been my passion for over 20 years. I WANT IT BACK!!! I believe I can turn this company back around to what it was but I need your help. Each and every one of you. I know there are those of you who have not received some of your awards. I HAVE NOT FORGOTTEN YOU!!! I PROMISE!!!!

I will get each and everyone of you what you have coming.

I encourage your feedback. At the end of this letter I will invite any of you to email me personally and I will respond to all. I do ask that you are not too hard on me. I will need some words of encouragement to get this going full force. With the majority supporting me, I believe with all my heart we can get back to the New Star Discovery family we once were.

Sometime next week I plan on putting the New Star Community back up. I deeply appreciate any support I get from any of you and I look forward to hearing from all of you. Thank you so much in advance for believing in me, and what I stand for. I think each and everyone of your kids are the greatest thing in the world and I want a chance to prove that.

I think their company and it's president is full of it and they are obviously frauding alot of parents!!!
