Dont ever pay a deposit to a car shipping broker. This is what I learned after talking to other companies. I didn't know, and I was a first-time customer with New Way Moving Services.

They said they would or could move my car for $695. but I realized that it was never going to happen. They take a $145 deposit, and lead you to believe that they can move your car for that price.

Please, please do not give a deposit to this company or any shipping broker. You can find a reputable broker that will charge you only when they find a carrier for your vehicle. I have since researched, and spoken to companies that do not charge a deposit, so I know that they exist.

Don't ever let any broker try to convince you that you need to put down a deposit, or retainer. This is simply untrue.

And Please read the New Way Moving Services contract. There is simply no way on earth that you can win against this company. The contract does not give you any way of getting your deposit back. Whomever has written this contract for New Way has seemingly covered all of their bases, speaking so vaguely that there is no leg to stand on for the customer's rights.

After 2 weeks of my vehicle not being moved, I started getting suspicious and called other brokers and carriers. They told me that they saw my vehicle on the dispatch board, listed for $800 dollars. New Way never asked me if they could post the car for that price. It was supposed to be $695. When I called them to check on the car, they tried to upsell me to $1,000 and I said no.

They asked me if I wanted to cancel, which means that I don't get my deposit back, and I said no.

I finally put in a claim with my bank, but New Way's contract is so tight, no one can win. My bank gave me a customer courtesy refund for the deposit, but they don't usually do this.

Beware of this company.
