What a Sucker Job this company is giving so far. If anyone has paid for these $40 Virtual Mortgage Franchise Opportunity dvds and contemplated joining Newkey Home Lending, keep your eyes on your wallet. Read the fine print first. In the contract they ask you to sign, it contains a 3 YEAR NONCOMPETE CLAUSE. Whatha? 3 years? Are they crazy? So, if you quit or get fired by them, they want you to get out of the industry and get lost, financially lost. Totally in contrast to the "uplifting and self empowerment philosophy" the CEO preaches to his following of loan originators. By the way, you don't get the agreement until after you have paid your $300 registration fee.
In addition, what they don't tell you is 100% is not 100%. The fine print and backend fees cost you almost $800 up front in Administrative Fees. And if you sign up as a Broker the price goes up higher. What this means is, any loan you submit through this company automatically profits them $800. Not to forget the $300 registration fee. $150 + $600 annual cost for a website. They also attempt to sell you on a $1500 to $3,000 monthly lead generation package that works to make you Walk, Run or FLY into bankruptcy. $40 leads a pop!
I personally got suckered in and came to find out that they have weekly PRESIDENTIAL CALLS with the CEO Richard Lee. Who, by the way, is not even listed on the corporations' corporate filed records with our great State of California. On these weekly addresses Mr Lee gives these pep talks sounding more like an Anthony Robbins guru than a Mortgage Broker...with words like "You Guys, are you listening, write this down, yahooooo" evenly spread throughout the cheerleading inspired conference calls. His side kick "Ed McMahon" type Angie Ramirez is always there to confirm his preachings. Yet, never once giving an ounce of his Mortgage experience secrets away. Sounding more like he's heading a class of third graders, his mini me's are in total agreement to his every word. How he became a multi-millionaire eludes me. I've never heard him discuss any mortgage issues or give a lecture on what he knows about the industry. Although he gives credit to his mentor, whom he only mentions by first name, never does he reveal what industry this financial success derived from.
Before signing up I was promised to be partnered together with another Real Estate Agent/Mortgage Broker who was overwhelmed with loans and needed immediate help. Yet after many calls and emails, I'm still waiting for this overflow of work. Not that I can't generate my own business, yet you shouldn't promise what you can't deliver. After 10 years in the industry you would think honesty among mortgage brokers would improve.
To exsacerbate the situation, they claim to have every loan product under the sun, Commercial, FHA, Reverse lending. But, once you come on board their lenders list is pretty sparse, with quality of lenders average, and their website is far from technologically advanced. Though they claim to be the fastest growing Mortgage Company in the United States and have invested millions into the company's success. I've seen better and useful sites on Myspace from teenagers.
Tell me why then no one has heard of NewKey Home Lending, nor will anyone answer your corporate telephone number? After numerous attempts to contact your listed telephone number only an answering machine answers. There is no immediate customer or agent support and it takes them 24 hours to respond to any questions.
Can anyone tell me how the fastest growing corporation in the United States can function without a live help desk? Newkey also claims to be a Federally Chartered Mortgage Bank. We have the actual recording of your CEO claiming this on file. We have yet to find their Federal Charter Number. Would someone from this corporation clarify where you stand on these issues? Are you just another failed network marketing statistic waiting to happen? So far, you've given the California Mortgage Industry a poor example to follow. I can only hope someone will find this message and take heed. Loan Originators and Brokers beware! Newkey Home Lending is headed down the path of destruction.

I was a client of Angie Ramirez I met her through a referral of a person she had helped. They spoke very highly of her.
I had a bad dealing with the company Angie worked for. Her boss was Jon Cenoz. I signed up for a service with Jon's company and when results were not rendered I asked for my refund. Angie ALWAYS was there helping talk to Jon to refund our money back. And Jon would always say "Its in process". For years now I kept asking Jon for my refund and every time he gave me EXCUSES AND EXCUSES. I knew he kept saying this because he had spent my money and had NO MONEY TO PAY ME BACK! He spoke so badly about Angie and blamed her. So I went and told Angie. She was so kind to refund us a portion to help me. That showed me what a great person Angie is.
It is so said when CROOKS and unprofessional people like Jon CENOZ who have NO experience in the service they are providing open up scam companies and hurt good people like Angie and put them in bad predicaments.
As of now I am on the search for Jon Cenoz and I WILL BE FILING A LAWSUIT against him for lying and hiding from me. Also his old landlord he leased his fancy Temecula office from is looking for him to collect the 6 months of rent he left without paying.
And as for my statement of who Angie Ramirez is to me: She is a hard worker, keeps her word and isn't hiding.
So for the person who wrote this you should be ashamed of yourself. If you are not happy instead of hiding behind the computer screen call her or email her she will respond.

The purpose for my rebuttal isn't so much to speak with "Mortgageman",as we don't know who, what, where has this email came from. Newkey has no record
of this email-name within our 2,506 agent data base. My purpose is to protect the good agents who are looking for great solutions to help them increase
their commission income AND have a real path towards financial freedom for them and families.
There is so much inaccuracies and misleading statements in "Mortgage Man" and "Agilton". It's hrad to know where to start the rebuttal. So I've listed a Top-8 of the most serious lies. Also, FYI. Thru our research, it looks like both came from the same computer. Interesting.
"Newkey claims to be a Federally Chartered Bank"
Rebuttal:Newkey's corporarate-partner is Emery Federal Credit Union.
We have twice weekly trainings on the origination protocols with our partner. So I'm not sure how "Mortgage Man" may of missed the name.
"Richard Lee isn't on corporate paperwork of Ca."
Rebuttal:Not sure what you're speaking of. I've been Newkey's CEO since 2002.
So are you saying that I'm lying and running around calling myself, CEO?
Here's the great news! Newkey is governed by the Department of Corporations.
Under the highest-level of license: Residetial Mortgage Lending lic("RML"),
AND the Department of Real Estate. Both we enjoy not one blemish.
Lastly, we have the top industry icons as Newkey trainers and endorsers of our incredible ownership model, so if our agents VOLUTEER for these free trainings they're not only getting trained by "Me", but by all the best of the best,which also includes our top Owner-agents-- like Ms.Angie Ramirez
"Attempt to Sell Leads of $1,500 to $3,000. $40 a pop!"
Rebuttal: The hardest part for most agents, even very good ones is to consistently being able to attract enough leads that leads to fundings.
We've seen many leads companies take advantage of agents in the past. So we want to enable our agents a secure place where( AT THEIR OWN OPTION ), they can use great leads. The great news! Our agents who are enjoying great success with Newkey leads are the best form of "sell' for Newkey. And at $40 a pop,if you're good enough agent,you can convert a funding for every 10 to 15 leads. That's $400 to $600 for each funded loan with:$4,207 in commission.
The latter with NO cold calling or wasted time of open houses.
"Backend fees of $800. Plus $150 and $600 For a Website"
Rebuttal: Our admin fee is currently $695. And yes, we do need some sort of cash flow after we payout 100% Comm. How would we stay in business.
The latter is an obvious for an experienced agent.
Regarding the $150 & $600. These are prices for Owner-agents who want an automated way of building their Newkey network of good agents.
Our Owner-agents are NOT required to use this specialized recruiting and recruiting-trainings.
"$40 DVD. Getting 3 year non-compete after sign-up".
No one pays $40 for Newkey's DVD,unless they want to. We show it for FREE. Fed-ex charges $9.95 for YOUR convience. The great news! The only way for "Mortgage Man and Agilton" to sign-up to Newkey(if "They" indeed did) was thru ANOTHER Owner-agent, NOT thru Newkey corporate. So getting these and other pre-sign up info. is ALWAYS available to anyone. And I as CEO, recommends all people who are interested in our opportunity to do proper due-deligence with Newkey or any opportunies regarding your career and the dreams of your family. Regarding Mortg.Man..., I'm surprised that "HE" didn't ask for standard documents that are requested when an agent looks at a new place to work.
In closing, Newkey is NOT for everybody. We are designed for Good, Experienced Agents and those who aspire to these high-levels. The latter is obvious when people look at who's on our Board and who endorses our incredible ownership plan----we have industry icons who are with us and revolutionary business technologists. Ask yourselves? How smart are these kind of people.
And would they get involved with "Some Scheme"??

I urge people to sample the company and their performace before diving all the way in. Test them out on a loan. The contract processing is a disaster. They give out no lender codes so getting pricing is annoying. You can't get a lender list to start calling AE's to get the pricing you have to send it in to the "help desk" which couldnt be a bigger oxymoron. If you call waiting 24-48 hours the most incredible mortgage company you have ever worked for then..you need to set the bar a little bit higher. Of course you can work with a pricer and placer for 10-50% of your commission. I thought it was a 100%, couldnt be further from the truth. I make more money working for my standard, TRUE 100% broker. You are right, i never should've left.
From the company approved marketing pieces; with quotes, that people never actually said; and them stating that people live in FL when that person has never ever been there. The head cheerleader did tell me, "it's called marketing!!" my reply was "i thought marketing was supposed to have some truth to it!" Guess not.
Then you have Richard Lee the CEO, and email bcc'er. I had the pleasure of him emailing many people about a loan that i was working on talking about how rediculous of a request i was making. I.E., the LTV was too high and that FL was amoung the highest depreciating areas in the nation. The only issue is that my loan was in GA. Unfortunately, for him, the loan was approved and back with my other broker, where is belonged.
All in all the royalty program is fairly misleading. No on ever tells you that once someone below you reaches 50K, that you no longer get royalties from that personf or the rest of the year. The system is design for mediocrity, its not because of the system that people make money, its because of the people they are. The mortgage knowledge there is mediocre at best. READ THE FINE PRINT PEOPLE!!! If it sounds to good to be true.....

I am Angie Ramirez a NewKey Producer & Builder for a little over 3 years. After reading this dishonest, exaggerated, negative email I have but one question to the person who wrote this email which I know who you are:
HOW MUCH DID YOU EARN LAST MONTH in Feb 2008? Okay how about January 2008?
Now I ask this in a humbling but truthful manner to you. If you have more opinions than millions then we don't need to hear it.
NewKey is the most incredible Mortgage Company with the most caring mentoring, support and guidance I have ever encountered.
We are not for all agents, we are only for Good Agents who want to become Rich Owners and help others.
So if you did not qualify to work with NewKey keep your negative opinions to yourself and focus on making meaning thus you will make the millions you are so chasing.
