On December 11, 2006 I received a call from James Tucker at Newport Lenders telling me that I was approved for a personal loan in the amount of $5,000.00. He mentioned that I would have to make the first 4 payments to secure the loan or purchase the insurance incase I lost my job.

I submitted the insurance payment of $932.00 only to find out that the loan was never in my account. I called back the next day and spoke with Brandon who is the loan manager, he informed me that the lender is re-evaluating my loan and I need to come up with another $800.00. Now I find out that the loan was never approved.

I've requested for my funds that I wired to be returned to me and I have not received them back. The phone number is disconnected and their website does not exsist anymore. I have filed a complaint with my local police department, and to the Better Business Bureau. I will be contacting the FBI to get involved.

Newport Lending Rip Off Update

AUTHOR: Reagan - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Saturday, January 06, 2007

I have tried contacting Newport Lending Group several times this week to see what the status is with a refund and received the following message "your personal account has been put on hold, please contact customer service. goodbye." Even their website NewportLenders.com is not available anymore.

My heart was in my throat since they have all my personal information. I wasn't going to be a victim of identity theft. On January 3rd, 2007 I reported all this information to the local authorities, the Better Business Bureau, and to the FBI for further investigation. I have given all the copies to the local authorites and to my bank and other credit companies. I believe this is what everyone should do since all personal information has been submitted to these frauds.
