I recently found a job posted in Craigslist offering employment for a company who calls themselves NFuse Direct. This "company" is an extension of the now well publicized Universal Gas And Electric scam.
If you do not know the story, Universal Gas And Electric made money by going door to door and selling people on a gas price protection program. You would sign up with assurances from the representative that the cost per Ccf would continue at the same rate offered by Consumer's Energy and that the purpose of the contract was to guarantee that in the future it would not go over the $1.049 per Ccf for five years. BUT, That never happens. The next bill shows up and you are paying a new rate; a difference of more money than you paying with your old gas company.
The price to remove yourself from the contract is an additional $250.00.

My company, NFUSE Direct, represents a very reputable national energy supplier called MX Energy. We have absolutely no affiliation with Universal Gas and Electric. I am sincerely sorry that you were harmed by someone other than us, but I am sure that the 100+ sales reps we have nationally in NY, NJ, TX and MI would totally disagree with any assertion that we are a scam.
Again, I apologize that you had a negative experience, but please be assured that my company is not affiliated with those who have harmed you.

My company represents a very well respected and reputable company...MX Energy. We are in no way shape or form affiliated with Universal. We have never offered a 5 year plan. My company, NFUSE Direct, representing MX Energy, is considered to be a direct competitor of Universal. I assure you, we have never worked for, nor have any affiliation with Universal Gas and Electric.
