heir mechanic stole my wallet.... I have a picture showing that I placed my wallet on top of a "For Sale" car at their station, and while taking pictures and cunningly being distracted, their mechanic stole my wallet. I noticed my wallet was missing less than blocks after leaving the location, only to be told I do not have proof. Well, I do have proof. I have the picture with my wallet on top of car and mechanic walking to my car.
They are thieves. They stole my wallet, I.D., passport and cash that I had saved so that I could purchase a used car car. I had a large sum of money on me because I was planning on meeting a private seller that day, but the advertised For Sale car in the Shell lot prompted me to stop.
I took my wallet out intending to buy a soda and thought it was "safe" on top of the For Sale car (with my keys). I was cunningly distracted and when I left I took only my keys because that was the only object on top of the car, not realizing that my wallet had been stolen.
The following day, the Shell supervisor denied that the mechanic worked there and then I was told he was off for the day. Soooo, I still do not have car and having difficulty paying rent and unemployed after working 25 years as a legal secretary. What else can go wrong?? I am scheduled for surgery and will have to catch a bus to go to the hospital. I have to return the rental car.

All cultures have "those type of people" and, yes, I have learned my lesson not to trust anyone at Nick Shell gas station on Pioneer Boulevard in Artesia, because they have "those type of people" there.
Why would the manager insist the mechanic did not work there the following day? Why would follow up calls later insist he was off for the day, when he was actually there? (Oh, yes, I have proof!)
You were not there, Ken. I guess what upsets me the most is that my tithes were also included with the stolen money (oh, that's right, inconclusive evidence, "lost money").

Your statement sounds threatening? Were you there, Ken?
I reiterate. I did not "LEAVE" my wallet on top of the car because it was REMOVED when I reached for my keys. I was genuinely excited about looking at the car and the potential of purchasing a car.
And, my attitude is of a humble nature, not a careless one. I seriously doubt that "you are sorry for my loss."
And, as for the incident, to be told that "we are not those kind of people" in response to my initial inquiry about the wallet... Well, "those kind of people" exist in every culture. I guess "those" were just choice words because I am an African American femaile, in a neighborhood were few are rarely seen.

How did these "mechanics" cunningly distract you?
The only proof you have with the picture of your wallet on top of the car is that YOU left it there.
