Night Hawks Took $250 dollars claiming it to be nessecary no refund Toronto Ontario

If any of you have seen the adds for security guards you probably remember the highly promising 15-18 dollars an hour people working for only 9 or even 10 dollars an hour become excited by this and they make an appointment. At the appointment they usually get you to pay right then and there so you don't get enough time to think about it. I've heard people paying as much as $300 they make you sign a paper that says you can't get a refund under any condition. After the two day course you get a certificate however they don't help you find work instead they point you in the direction of agencies that can give you work. So you have to go into these agencies do another interview and sometimes they have their own training courses (these are free) and you find out you need to have a license which is $80 once you have a license you may have to pay for your uniform finally they place you your first placement is usually temporary just to test you out and since your a new security guard they pay anywhere from $9.50-$11/hour which is funny because the companies that they work with pay them $25-$30/hour for you so they(the agency) get the difference. Once off the assignment you may or may not get another position deciding on how busy they are.

My advice: get a license $80 skip these adds in the papers and go straight to the agencies. To bring up you pay you may need extra skills like police training, first aid, cpr, military training and so on don't be afraid to take these courses they are very beneficial and a lot of hospitals offer them. Apply to as many agencies as you can find this way you'd never be out of work and finally sometimes you have to pay for uniforms sometimes you don't but they take it out your first pay so thats alright.
