These people acted in bad faith and are a rip off!! They demand full payment way in advance, so your credit card payment goes through, leaving little incentive for them to do a good job and little financial recourse.
We contracted with this company to provide transportation to High School Senior Prom. They promised a pick-up time of 6:00 pm, which later became 6:30 sharp, (the time cocktail hour started). The night before, their owner, Joe calls to tell us the Limo is doing a wedding and will be 5-10 minutes late, assuring us that it would arrive by 6:40.
On Prom day, we call to confirm imminent arrival, at 6:35 and are told the driver is 10 minutes away. At 6:45 we call to say if he's not around the corner, our twelve kids would be taken by the families, all of whom are waiting on the driveway. Now we get the-"I'll call you right back". We got no return call and now, no answer on any of their phone lines. At 7:05, I reach Ann Marie in the office of the "Limo Company". She promises to contact the driver and to call back "in 2 minutes". Again, no return, though I clearly stated again, we'd gladly cancel. At 7:10 I called again and spoke to Ann Marie who told me the Limo was less than 9 miles away and would be there in minutes. at 7:35 the Limo arrived. The doors to Prom were shut however at 7:30. We had to call the hotel to beg the chaperones to allow the kids in when they arrived.
At 8:15, our kids arrived. They were too late for "cocktail hour and too late for arrival photos and totally stressed. These kids had one High School Senior Prom in their lifetimes and NJ Limobus loused it up for them. The Limo Company has expressed very little remourse and a minimal settlement. Do Not Use NJ Limobus or you are sure to be disappointed!

Two weeks later, NJ Limobus finally came to their senses with a goodwill gesture. After refusing to deal directly with the group's representative, and only through their lawyer, the Company agreed to make a partial credit to the children. While the credit could never replace what was lost, at least the kids can go to a modest dinner to salve their wounds. It seems that this story will have a happy ending after all.
