We were invited by HT Construction to bid on a new building for Seven Hills Veterinary Clinic, which would be owned by the veterinary doctors themselves.  When I researched HT, I found that they are a registered trade name for Hull Tech Construction at the same address as NJ Orr construction.  I googled hulltech.com and found an email address on a bidders list which was for Nick Orr at Hull Tech.

I had experience with Jim Orr of Orr construction some years ago, and had the same experience getting not paid then, that all the sub-contractors are relating here.  Same patterns exactly.

Not wanting to work with them again, but not sure if Nick Orr was related to Jim Orr, I called HT and spoke with Mike Frye who assured me that HT and Orr are not related beyond officing in the same building, and he assured me that Orr was moving out of the building.

I called Seven Hills Veterinary Clinic to learn who was the contractor, and the doctor there referred me to Nick Orr.

When I called NJ Orr Construction, I identified myself as a sub-contractor, and the receptionist asked if I was calling about the Veterinary Clinic.  I asked if Orr is building it, and she said yes.

When someone from HT called about my quote, I told her that I wasn't interested in working with Orr, and she flat out denied again that Orr is involved in any way.

These people are complete and practiced liars, and have decades experience in cheating subs.

I don't know if Seven Hills Veterinary Clinic has any idea or not of what Orr is about, any sub who wants to get paid should be forewarned.

If there is still any doubt in your mind try this email address:

The Orrs are principals in HT or Hull Tech Construction and they are putting a bid package together for the new Veteran's Hospital project at Fitzsimmons. The majority owner is a disabled veteran. Voice your complaints to the Veteran's Administration.

Who is the dummy?

AUTHOR: Steve - (United States of America)

Why would you even consider working for this company another time?  Who is the dummy here?  You as a business owner have a choice which contractors you work with.  Did someone from Orr Construction force you to give them a bid?  If they did why would you give them a bid that would insure that you got the job?  Nothing requires you give the same bid to every contractor.  You should reward contractors that pay their bills on time with better prices, service, and people.  These guys should get your highest price, last on the service, and least experienced people.  This sounds like sour grapes.  Tell Orr to loose your phone number and remove me from your bid list.  People like this do not deserve your time or to be in business.  The only way to weed them out is to refuse to bid or bid them so high that they cannot get work.
