NMB PLATINUM rip off, illegally charged, account scandal, fraud Miami Florida Internet

I recently checked my account online and saw that I had been charged an APP FEE of $99.95 by a company called NMB Platinum CC. Obviously, I didn't know what this charge was for or whom it was from. I googled the name and found several articles about similar situations of other being randomly charged.

Based on my research, this is a credit card company that has somehow retrieved my account information and charged me for applying for one of their credit card...which I never did. I know that I have no credit card from them, and I have given them absolutely no information about me. I had never even heard of them.

Fortunately, my bank possibly knows about the fraud and a reversal check has been sent back through. I didn't see a number or address for this company so I couldn't contact them in any way. I feel the only thing left for me to do is close my bank account.

Be aware of banking fraud and suspicious charges. This is the first time something like this has happened to me and I am very cautious from this day forth. This is what the transaction looked like in my online banking statement:
NMB PLATINUM CC APP FEE 3138259 REF # 021213370000642
and the reversal transaction looked like this
RETURN NMB PLATINUM CC APP FEE.

Again, I have no idea why this charge occurred because I have not given my information to anyone about my bank account nor have I applied for any credit cards. However, I am thrilled that the reversal transaction went through, and I warn everyone to be aware of this "NMB Platinum Credit Card" scam.
