North American College, Najm Malik Unprofessional Behavior toronto Ontario

I wanted to get my certification as an Oracle Database administrator . I went to many colleges but  I saw that North American College was able to guide me through the  process  to get the  funding which they did.

At first, it was good but then it got really confusing.

 

 

My teacher was incompetent and unprofessional. He was a programmer initially and basically he was learning the database administration on the process. This was  on the back of mature students and newcomers who were desperate to find a job. He got stuck many time in the middle and we were just hanging there untill he figured out.

 

Also, the teacher at many occasions made racist statements about people from other countries which is inacceptable by any means, let alone were made in an educational institution( He was mean enough to ask about  students ethnic backgrounds in advance.

 

 

Also he descriminates in term of assistance. If you are from his ethnic background he gives you all the assistance and attention.If you are not, he does help sometimes and sometimes he react on you or play dummy. I remember some students from his community finished the program and were still coming to get extra attention from our time, he  even proposed to teach them extra programming language which was not part of the program initially to help them find the job.But when they stopped coming we ask him if he is willing to teach us that language he said maybe in the future but never did.

 

 

I may add a confession though: because the school kept registering new students, the class kept on building up discrenpencies in terms of levels. so you have a situation were students  are in the same program, in the same class but in different stages of learning. The thing led to extreme confusion and  frustration  from one hand, students who had the feeling that they were not getting the full attention and time they deserve and from the other hand, you have  a teacher who has to deal with different questions and interruptions from different students with various levels

Many of us complained and nothing was done. North American College, in Toronto only concentrates on getting you registered as student. When done they behave differently.
Management should get involved when student graduate to find them  placements even  unpaid ones. Most of us who graduated last year are still jobless or doing casual jobs that have nothing to do with the training they got in the school.
