This is the worst company I've ever delt with.

The least of my problems was that they were 8 hours late to pick up my belongings.

They used some of my own moving boxes to pack stuff and then charged me for them. The movers were very rude and harldy spoke to me. After 6 hours of packing the truck they DOUBLED my quote! They said this was because I had more items than I told them about(I did not) and because I was moving to Alaska. Before the move they knew I was going to Alaska and said it was the same as any other state. On move day they decided it was considered an International move and therefor they had to add an additional 3 grand to my moving costs. Of course they decided this after my belongings were in the truck and were ready to leave.

This was on August 23, 2010.  I received my belongings on October 25. During that time I called and/or emailed daily to see what the heck was going on. Each time I was told it was "2 more weeks". After awhile they began screening my calls and didn't answer. I know this for a fact because a few times I'd call on my cell and it would go right to voice mail. Minutes later I would call using a friend's phone and they picked up on the first ring. Every time I called they(usually a woman named Natalie) were very rude and practically mocking me for wondering where my belonging were.

When my belongings finally arrived 2 boxes were missing, one box had clearly been rummaged through and several items were broken-including my grandmothers antique coffee table. When I contacted them about filing a claim they sent me a 10 page form that stated I needed to have copies of receipts, credit card stubs, and 3 seperate appraisals! They said I'd have only a few months to get all this to them or the claim wouldn't be valid.

Do not, do Not, DO NOT use North America Transfer(or whatever name they are now using) to move.
