 My daughter and I visited this agency numerous times over the last two years trying to establish child support for my daughter's minor child. My daughter and the baby's father are both minors which presented a problem. There is a NC Statute that allows for child support from the grandparents. The statue is NCGS 50-13.4(b). The request for child support from the paternal grandparents is what was requested. We were told first, that we could not file for this. Secondly, we were told that we never asked for support. Thirdly, we were again told that we could not file for the support because the father was a minor, which was legally incorrect. When we were finally able to fill out paperwork requesting support we were told an investagation would need to be done to assure that this agency/attorney(s) could handle this matter. We never were contacted about the investigation. We returned to the office and again discussed this matter only to be casually told how long this would take.(somewhat scarcest ally). We have yet to have this filed with the courts . Two years of legally incorrect information and apparent intentional stalling.
