North Lanier Boat & RV Storage Gave our storage space to someone else Cumming Georgia

After being gone on a trip in our fifth-wheel camper, we returned to North Lanier Boat and RV Storage to find another camper parked in our space. Due to it being Sunday and no one in the front office, it took about an hour for someone to call us back to tell us what to do- very aggravating after driving all day and ready to be home. The manager apologized for letting someone else park in our space and informed us that the only other one that was available that would accommodate our 42 foot camper was the space next to ours. This space had metal support beams next to it that made it very difficult to get in and out of. We specifically avoided this type of space when choosing ours because of the difficulty. To make it more difficult, this particular night, there were no lights on in this building and it was dark.  

While trying to get the camper in the space, the awning got ripped, as well as the whole apparatus holding it getting ripped off. It cost nearly $1200 to get it fixed. Of course, management was quick to point out their "we're not responsible for accidents" policy. Since we obviously didn't want to put our camper back in this spot after getting it fixed, we again called management to see if we could get our old space back. We were informed that the people who were in our space were out of state.  Isn't that great!? We ended up having to get another space at a different storage facility.

Considering we had three other spaces in addition to the one for our RV at North Lanier Boat and RV Storage, we couldn't believe that we would be treated this way. We had even referred friends to this facility. They've since  moved after we told them what happened. To add insult to injury, because of having to move to another facility so hastily because of the lack of a decent space, management informed us that we would have to pay for another month for not giving them a 30 day notice that we were leaving. Had it not been for their actions, we wouldn't have left in the first place! After my husband threw a fit, they agreed not to charge us for the extra month. Wasn't that generous of them!?  People looking for storage space: there are much better places nearby.
