North Leap tried to rip me off! Santa Ana California

These people are trying to rip people off in Missouri, too. Luckily, they didn't get me. I called the local number in the newspaper, and a man who spoke very slowly gave a diffent number.

I called the number and spoke with a woman named Victoria. I didn't get a Nancy or a Christine. I told her I was interested and she said she would send out the package. I asked her if there was any way she could verify that the company was legitimate by providing me with an web site.

She told me that there was a web site, but it was taken down last week because a couple of 13 year old kids had gotten their parents credit card numbers and placed orders. It seemed logical, so I gave it to her!!! Stupid me. I thought about it for a few minutes after I got off the phone and decided to "Google" the company.

Sure enough, the first thing I saw was the Rip off website where every story I read had gotten ripped off by the same company I just gave my info to. I called my credit card company and told them the situation. They couldn't do anything to stop the transaction, but the card was cancelled so the payment wouldn't be made, and they are going to ship me new cards.

A few hours later, Victoria called me at work, and told me my card was denied. I told her it was because I didn't trust the company and had the card cancelled. I told her I read all the reports on the rip off website, and was no longer interested in receiving the information.

She must not have heard that part, though... She hung up on me. I'm lucky I suppose. I'll know better next time. It's a shame, though. We work hard for our money, and dishonest people want to take it away.
