I am a Republican candidate challenging an incumbent Republican for his seat as Texas State Representative in District 65 (Denton County). Be it known, I am not a millionaire career politician. Far from it. I am a first-time candidate that is an average self-employed Texan concerned about the direction of my government. Therefore, I made the decision to declare my candidacy through the Republican Party.
On November 10, 2017 at 9:32am CT, I received an incoming phone call from (((REDACTED))) which is a mobile number belonging to Mr. Tom Washington. Upon answering the phone, I specifically asked Tom Washington if he was a journalist, a staff member be it paid or volunteer of either of my opponents be it Democrat or Republican, or involved in any way with a Political Action Committee (PAC). Mr. Tom Washington declared he was none of the above. He was calling my mobile phone as a "curious constituent of District 65." He begain to barrage me with very intrusive questions. I act as I expect my government to behave. I was open, honest and candid with Mr. Tom Washington.
Low and behold, I have recently learned Mr. Tom Washington is indeed the Treasurer of a PAC calling itself "The North Texas PAC for Trust, Honesty and Integrity." Mr. Tom Washington and his affiliated PAC have created a website using my namesake kevinLsimmons.com to disparage me. As proof, I would like to proved a copy of my phone bill documenting the incoming phone call from Mr. Tom Washington's mobile phone. Further, the web address for the PAC is northtexaspac.com. Clearly listed at the bottom of the page is, "Paid for by North Texas PAC for Trust, Honesty and Integrity. Tom Washington, Treasurer."
I do not know if Ripoff Report can do anything, but I believe it is important for people to know the truth.
