North Van Lines Inc. are LIARS and THIEVES Hackensack New Jersey

North Van Lines Inc., are LIARS and THIEVES.  On Monday, November 16, 2015 a "Cheryl" from North Van Lines called me about moving. I accidentally relayed the wrong credit card information to them and they charged $438.00 to move me on January 4, 2016.  After I realized my mistake and did research about this company and saw the negative reviews from other customers, I called and sent an email on November 18, 2015 to cancel the move.  This is where they showed that they are DISHONEST and SCAM ARTISTS.  They refused to refund the credit card the full $438.00 and only refunded half the money ($219) ONLY AFTER I made a big stink about them wanting to keep all of the money.  When asked why they wanted to keep half the money when they did not provide a service, they said it was because they spent time on the phone with me.  So basically, this THIEVING COMPANY want to get $219 for roughly a 20 minute call that I DID NOT solicit.

They lied on BBB.org and said in their response that I "contacted" them on "11/15/15 and wanted them to "coordinate a move" on January 4, 2016.  I DID NOT CONTACT dis teefing company!  I put my information on MovingQ.net for MovingQ, and ONLY MovingQ to contact me.  It seems MovingQ.net sent out my details to several of these moving van companies.  I did not know MovingQ would do this.  I have since spoken to MovingQ and made them aware of what North Van Lines was doing. 

North Van Lines also lied when they said, they 'sent via email their terms and conditions for me to review at my convenience before I was asked to sign in agreement or before I was asked to pay any monies for my move'.  Yes, Cheryl did send me an email with the terms & conditions, and while I was on the telephone with her, she COERCED me to electronically sign the document and pay monies right there and then.  There was NO TIME given to me to review the documents in detail at my "convenience."  Instead she ran quickly over the document and did NOT verbally explain the cancellation policy; she did not even mention a cancellation policy during the telephone conversation.  Later, I asked her why she did not tell me about their cancellation policy, she replied "I did not think you were going to cancel."  Had she emphasized the cancellation policy to me on the phone, I would have NEVER booked with North Van Lines. 

The cancellation policy reads:  "50% of your deposit will be refunded if move is cancelled 7 business days before pick up date.  There is no refund if move is cancelled less than 7 business days prior to the actual move date."  Now, if my pick-up-date is January 4, 2016 and I cancel said service on November 18, 2015 isn't it a no brainer that I get all the money refunded since I cancelled MORE THAN "7 business days prior to the actual move date?"  But because North Van Lines Inc., are LIARS and THIEVES they want to keep half of the deposit for doing NOTHING.  Another moving company told me that they are a "deposit company" meaning, that is how they make money by scamming people out of their deposits.

In addition, their customer service is atrocious.  For example, their employee Meme is a VILE CREATURE; she is utterly rude and disrespectful. She is also prejudiced.  She seems to have a problem with customers who are not American-born.  She attacked my accent, if effect, telling me to "go back where I come from".  I WILL NOT TOLERATE THAT WHATSOEVER.  Their Sales Manager is equally rude, hostile, impatient and irrational.  CONSUMERS:  Be very aware of this company. AVOID them at all costs.  If I can help just one customer from signing up with North Van Lines and saving them the grief of their money being stolen, then the stress, disappointment and money that North Van Lines has brought to my household would have been worth it.  They are a DIRTY, LYING, THIEVING COMPANY who should not be in business.  They are NOT a reputable nor trustworthy company.
