Movers please do not use this company they are the worst ever. I booked this company because I used them before and they were good then, but now this move was a nightmare. The person for lack of a better word, told me my other state move was going to be $1000. I asked her four times was she accurate and she assured me via email and phone that she was accurate. I book the job ans the day that they show up the price balloned to 2300 dollars. I was furious. I explained to him that the dingbat that booked the job told me specifically that the job was 1000$.

I literally was a contestant on let's make a deal to the price down because I could not find another moving comoany at such short a notice. Then the manager tells me that I would get my belonging in two separate shipments because of truck space. So I had to argue about that. The dingbat that booked the job also negletced to tell me that it was a shared move. The moving people had to call extra help because only two people was booked for a 3 bedroom apartment.Are you serious! Micheal (manager) calls me on Thursday 7/10 to tell me that the movers will be there that night and that I had to have the balance of the move in all cash. I immediately told them that was not going to happen.

The truck did not come to the next morning, all my stuff was thrown up in back of the truck and again they sent only two people. I had to help move my stuff into my apartment otherwise they would have blocking traffic all day. While moving my belonging I noticed  an end table that I specifically taped  up was open, so I asked where are the belonging and they called the forman from the pick up in NY. He explained that the drawer fell open and all the stuff came out. I am like how is that if it was taped shut. He claimed the company put it in a box with my belongings. Not true.All of my mother's (deceased)  personal papers were in there in addition to checkbooks that were never used.

Then the driver tells me because the can't bring me a 50 foot tractor on to the property they will have to charge me 100$ long haul fee to take the stuff off the truck to drag it to the building. I was floored. I am helping you move my own stuff and you are charging me to move my own stuff. I finally get to unpack some of my stuff and my coffee table glass is broken. I send a picture to Michael and ask who will be responsible and have not heard back from yet. I will be reapinsible for me at this point by disputing the deposit and the balance of the move on my card. I guess my next review will be in small claims court. MOVER STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS UNPROFESSIONAL COMPANY.

Stop the lies

Really you must stop the lies. It is not productive and you look more guilty by posting a 9 paragraph rebuttal. The court did take me seriously and the date is 2015 because New York City small claims courts are backed up in its entirety. I am not even going into your nonsense that you posted here because you are a liar and a thief. Instead of offering an apology and responding to many emails and calls you wait until I MAKE COMPLAINTS and take you to court to respond.Really.Customers if you want information on this move please feel free to contact me. I have nothing to gain or lose by telling the truth.

I would like to take the time to answer these complaints made by Nefertiti Mcdonald. She is a customer of Northeastern Van Lines that used our services before. When she used us before she moved from Brooklyn to Manhattan. On the second move she moved from Manhattan to Maryland. 

The differecne between local and long distance moves is night and day. There are many factors that come into the final bill with long distance moves. This was all made clear to Miss Mcdonald by myself and the sales person that she refers to as a dinbat on many occations. It is repeated ttime and again in telephone conversations before we book a job and it is reiterated in emails before and after the job is booked. 

We give accurate estimates based on the customers description of the items they are moving and the distance they are moving. Packing materials, fuel, long carry charges, stairs and speacial crating. All of these charges are listed in or marketing materilas and available for viening in our tarriff as well. She says that she asked her 4 times was the estimate accurate but what she does not say is that she was told by me at least 3 times that the billing is different for long distance moves. 

The reason she felt like a contestent on lets make a deal is because it came to a point when she was crying on the phone that she would not be able to feed her children if she had to pay her bill in full. She loaded 800 cubic feet at $3 per cubic foot this alone came to $2400.00. She refused to pay for any packing materils and loaded many items that she never told us she had when we did the estimate with her on the phone. 

She lived in a New York City housing projects so laoding was difficult because the elevator was small and they workers had to watch the truck to provent anything from being stolen or vandalized. She was never told she would get her items in two seperate shipments. She was frantic and screaming and crying and she did not understand what was said to her. Even though she was rude and cursing at everyone including myself we did everything we could to help her even though we knew she would not be able to pay. 

As you can see by her tone in this complaint she is not a very nice person and a con artist as well. She never told us her move was as large as it was because she thought that because she was a repeat customer she might have a chance to get out of a large bill with us. She even requested that I send Anthony the foreman from her first move so she could try to con him. 

When Anthony told me how much was there I emeadiatly mobilized more men and sent them to her home. They wer there in less than an hour and finished loading her job. No moving company will exept credit cards at delivery. Most moving companies only exept cash, money order, or certified funds because of customers like this. There is a 99.9% chance you will get stiffed on the bill. This is also noted in our marketing materils.

At delivery we came in a 50 foot tractor trailer as we always do when we cross state lines and it has two beds for two men. She never told us that she lived in a complex that would not be able to accomadate a tractor trailer. Yes. Ther is a long carry fee it is listed in our tarriff and she was charged for that. Our men are not animals they work hard and it is not fair that they have to carry your items over 75 yards in 90 degree heat for free. 

And the reason your items were broken and your mothers papers were lost is because you refused to allow us to do our job correctly and wrap them properly because you did not want to pay for the men to do it. Your bill was over $3000.00 for what we did do and you paid less than $2000.00. You should be thanking me but instead you attemt to smear me and my company on the internet. And yes I recived your court papers and the judge does not take you seriosly either because the court date is April 2015! 

The bottom line is we provide a service and if you hire a move company to move you let us do the move. If you cannot afford a moving company call U-haul, Ryder, or Budget. We apriatate repeat customers but we are not friends. I have a family and emplyees that have families as well. I cannot afford to move you from NY to MD for the price that I moved you from Brooklyn to Manhattan. I am sorry that you were not happy with the service the second time I wish I could do more to make you happy. 

I would also like to note that she was told that she could file a claim at anytime for any lost or damaged items. We are 100% insured.
