Norther Leasing System After reporting damage to a credit card machine, they sent a return UPS label to return it. Also according to the contract there was insurance which was taken out of my account along with the lease New York, New York

Ileased a credit card machine with a lease through Norther Leasing Systems. In the lease an additional fee for insurance that I was paying for to cover any damage to the machine. My contract was signed 10/23/09 and the machine was returned and received 10/30/09. After several calls to them Iwas told that thelease would be canceled if the machine could not be fixed. Payments continued to be drawn from my account through 1/10. At that time I closed the account as I now did not have the credit card machine and could get no where with customer service.

A year later I am now getting final notices stating they are going to take necessary steps to collect balance due including legal proceedings. I also started getting harassing phone calls on my answering machine. Calls also originated from this company with nobody even on the other end of the phone. There were also calls with just an open line with people talking in the background.

I then again decided to call to try and resove this matter. The customer service representative litterly hung up on me, when I refused to give her personal information such as my social security number.

I then received a letter from there lawyer trying to reach a settlement agreement. I again wrote back to him asking for my case to be refered to someone else then the original customer service rep.and explained how rude she was. Again the rep that hung up on me calls stating that my case has been referred to her. I did try to reason with her to no avail. She then sends me a letter to the fact that I have not responded. I have written 2 letters asking what happened to the machine that was returned and what was the insurance for? I have never received an answer but continue to get threatening letters that they are going to take legal action.

All they seem to be concerned about is getting there money. I refuse to pay for something I don't even have and continue to hold on to the receipt that it was returned.
