Northern Tool and Equipment Don't trust their product reviews Chattanooga, Tennessee

I bought a NorthStar Pressure Washer - 2800 PSI, 2.5 GPM  from this company at it's local store in June 2010.  The main reason I choose the company was that it's web site product reviews were much better than competing companies.

After using the machine for about 10 hours the engine started quitting whenever I pulled the trigger on the pressure washer wand.  I took the machine back and the service department tech said it was because the oil level was not up to full.  I took it home changed the oil and filled it up all the way with new Honda oil.  That did not cure the problem.

I took the machine back and left it.  They said it would take two weeks to get to it.  I called them back after 2 weeks and the main said it was due to a gummed up carburetor.  They said they would replace it for about $50.  I called back after a few days and the man said it wasn't the carburetor it was the cam.  This was a little plastic piece they charged me $70 plus labor.  By the time I was out the door I had sunk $135 in repairs to a machine with about 20 hours of usage and less than 2 years old.

I took the machine home and the machine worked correctly for about 10 minutes, then once again the engine would quit after pulling the handle for just a few seconds.  I decided not to invest any more money is this lemon.

I went to the company's web site to fill out a product review on this machine outlining just what I said above.  The message when I submitted it was that all product reviews have to be approved by them before publishing. 

I returned to the website 2 months later and guess what?  my product review was no where to be found, but I then noticed something quite unusual.  The  NorthStar Pressure Washer - 2800 PSI, 2.5 GPME had a 5 star rating - the top rating possible!  Then I noticed that every singe product review on all of the pressure washer models are rated at a minimum 4 star out of 5 and nearly half are ranked 5 star.  Amazing not a negative report on any of the machines.  All wonder and perfect, and everyone that bought one is just so happy with them!

Be Warned DON'T TRUST THIS COMPANY'S REVIEWS.  They flat out cheap.  That's plane and simple dishonesty.  If they can't be trusted to tell you the truth, why should you trust anything else that they say or do?
