Northland Sealcoating Poor Application of Sealcoating - Hairline Cracks and Fractures Following Service Columbus Ohio

On June 6, I contracted with Bob Moriarity to perform sealcoating service to my driveway. He was paid by check the same day.

Sadly, Bob did a poor job applying sealcoating! Aside from not applying the sealcoating correctly, he left some of the seal coat on my garage door (which I had to scrub clean)! Bob also instructed me to wait 48 hours before allowing any vehicles on the blacktop. To error on the side of caution, I waited 72 hours (June 9) given that I was concerned the temperatures for that week did not rise above 72 degrees.

Immediately following the first vehicle (a service van) driving on my sealed blacktop that same day, I noticed deep penetrating tread marks that left a scar on the blacktop.  I contacted Bob on June 10 (who was unavailable) and left a voice mail message detailing what I saw and my concerns that possibly the sealcoat was not applied properly. Bob contacted me back two days later and made a commitment he would inspect the area with the tread marks. I never heard from Bob again even after placing three additional follow-up calls (had to leave a voice mail message each time) between June 10 and July 12!

Since applying the sealcoat, my blacktop is reflecting MANY chips and hairline fractures and cracks (photos are available; a properly cured sealcoat forms a continuous film free of voids or imperfections that stops water, chemicals, salts, etc. from penetrating and damaging the asphalt pavement underneath).
