This is my report sent on 25th October, 2010, to Mr. Richard A. McFeely,

This year saw an increase of emails from the U.S., especially email offers for medical bio-goods accompanied by up to 20 and more sales pages, sometimes bearing the name of "Medical Doctors" guaranteeing "iron clad" refunds if unsuitable.

This letter concerns an enterprise called NorthStar Nutritionals, P.O.Box 960, Frederick, MD 21705.
They admit, of course, that the goods are not valuated by the FDA.

I ordered goods in 2010. For example, in the Spring I ordered a product recommended by an Allan Spreen M.D., sold by NorthStar Nutritionals, to solve Prostrate problems. The product never worked. I returned it, but did not cause any fuss about it. That was early in the Spring (April/May).
The same applied to a product recommended by Jonathan Wright M.D. (returned) and a book ordered (W.C. Douglass II, M.D. recommended "Year Book 2010"), never received.

Against better advice from U.S. medical doctors that some of those doctors selling their wares through NorthStar Nutritionals, in which they might have a stake or participate, I ordered goods, and returned some but never received the requested replacements despite 4 reminders sent to them, and books ordered were never received.

I consider this DECEIT and TRADING WITH INTENT TO DEFRAUD, indeed mail fraud, fraudulent trading. They do not honour their "iron clad" guarantee and do not send required replacements. I made the replacement requests in July. It's Christmas in two months.

Until this day, I have not received a refund or replacements. But NorthStart Nutritionals (Mr. Ed Schoberg) keep on sending email advertisements for the purchase of their products

Melissa,

Josef filed a  Ripoff Report on your company on 2-27-2011. Your response did not come until 4-10-13. What is your explanation for taking over two years to reply to him? All you suggested was that he call or email for support with his issues.

Apparently, Josef was already contacting your company on a regular basis, yet the solution you offered was for him to contact you once again. You did give your personal email address; which may have helped him. There is no further information provided as to the outcome of this issue.

I read Insiders Book of Secrets, and had been considering ordering at least one of your products. Now, I'm leary of the reliability of your company. Convince me that I should.

I have been a thoroughly satisfied customer of both Dr. Spreen's supplement sales companies, and I couldn't possibly be more happy with them.   Because of several medical issues, I've been on quite a number of his supplements for several years.  Most of them have exceeded my expectations.  

In the few instances where their product didn't help, I had no problem w/ either return of the unused portion or getting my refund.  I always saved my empty bottles, but discovered that they didn't need me to send them back. They checked my account records & verified w/ me the # of bottles I'd purchased.  They promptly issued a rebate to my credit card for the total amount of the purchase.  

All customer service personnel have been extremely friendly, helpful, courteous & spoke English as their primary language. My only possible complaint would be their prices, but if you order their books or subscribe to their newsletters so that you're aware of the lengths to which they go to find the best, most effective, totally natural remedies in the world, you understand why they charge as much as they do.

Did you read & carefully follow all the instructions re: returns & refunds?  The best way to be safest throughout the entire procedure is to go through customer service.  They'll answer all your questions and walk you through the whole process.

Please don't write them off b/c of 1 bad experience.  Their products have been literally life changing for me.  I can't recommend them highly enough!!

After re-reading your entire complaint, I can't help but wonder if you connected w/ a fake company posing as North Star Nutritionals.  What you describe is totally opposite to my experiences w/ them.
