After seeing a car I wanted from a dealership on the internet, I drove from Yakima WA to Tacoma WA. Entered the car for a test drive with a sales rep., noticed the power steering very difficult to turn.  I asked the rep about it and he said it probably needed fluid.

I drove the car home the same day. At 14 miles before Selah WA, all the warning lights came on and an alarm sounded. I got home at midnight and called the dealership and left a message explaining everything about the car. They told me to take it to a dealership and have them run diagnostics.

I called the car repair and made an appt. Took the car in the next day. They went over the entire car. Just to name a few problems: power steering pump seized up and broke into pieces causing damage to the tensioner and drive belt, the water pump leaked, the thermastat needed replacement, needed air filter and oil change.

I called the dealership each time a problem was found and that gave consent to have it fixed and they would pay for it. They said I was to pay cash and they would take it off the balance I owed on the car (which was $1515.96.)

Then I was to call them when the car was completed and they would put the rest of what was owed on a credit card. When everything was completed, I called and told them the total was $2724.40.

They said they had talked it over and they wanted to make me "a very happy customer". They stated they were going to send me the car title! I asked if they were going to pay for the repairs and he stated no.

The car repair place will not let me have my car until the balance is paid (which I understand). However, I had taken my savings of $2000. and gave it toward the purchase of the car. I don't have anymore money. I text AJ, the manager and told him the problem. I asked him if he would consider paying for a car rental so I could get to work. I'm a traveling nurse. As of this writing, the repair balance has not been paid, they still have my car, and I have to figure out how to travel to the different clinics in Eastern Washington! They need to take the $2000.00 check I gave them and apply it toward the repair balance as they said they would pay!
