I have had a disability claim with Northwestern Mutual for 13 years and on innumerable occasions I have opened the door for them to terminate my claim, not because my condition has improved (it hasn’t) but because I haven't promptly done what is required of me. NWM has bent over backwards for me more times than I can count. I have also dealt with many claims analysts over the years and, without exception, they have all been professional and, more importantly, compassionate. It is clear to me that the way they handle claims like mine is due to a companywide policy. Although I haven't researched the issue, there cannot be a better company when it comes to disability claims. I say this without reservation because there is nothing more they could have done for me than what they have done for me.
