I received a letter and check in the amount of $1980.00 with instruction to call a number to validate and activate the check. I was to conduct some secret shopping activity at a few establishment. The largest amount from the check was to be sent by a Western Union Money Gram. I was going to get an easy $300 dollars for my trouble. After 2 calls with holds and interruptions, I soon realized it was a ripoff.

It was stated that one cannot discuss the context of secret shopping with the stores or bank institutions visited to accomplish this task. RIGHT!! Another give away was after researching the named bank on the check there was no real institution with that name in Butler, PA. Another quick gimic that can catch innocent, unsuspecting individuals.
