I just recently ended my two year-or-so membership with the npdor.com/sweepland survey site. At first I was very pleased with the way they conducted business, I would receive a survey maybe three times a month and would get decent points with which I could put towards "sweepstakes".

This is important in understanding NPDOR, they don't ever pay you to take their surveys. Instead, they reward you with points that you can save up and use to buy chances to win various prizes such as cash, computers, etc. This seemed at first to be a unique and fun way to be rewarded.

The pinnacle of my experience with this website was when I won a hundred dollar cash prize after putting a minimal amount of points into the prize pool. I couldn't believe I one and I thought it was some mistake. Nevertheless they sent me a hundred dollar check! After this, it was hard not to love the site; wouldn't you?

I won this money within two months of being a member. After this I dedicated a lot more time into winning and collecting points. After a few times in which I would just put a few points into the prize pools, I realized I got lucky the first time so I started to save more points before entering. I didn't win for months.

Finally I did a little experiment. I saved up a few thousand points and entered many points into just a couple of prize pools and still didn't win. I repeated this process maybe two or three times. Then I just got fed up. After months of dedication, I had little to show for it.

Bottom line is that this site probably paid me off early on so they could get more information out of me without offering any benefit later. I'm not sure that this is the experience of everyone, but it seems like a well-designed plan to me. If you have won more than two prizes from sweepland than my mistake, but it seems likely they have developed away to get the most information for the least amount of payment to their clients.
