Well let's see Im going to be talking about NRS today. If you like this so called magazine company or are going to stand up for them you are crazy. First they called me about 6 months ago and i said no to there service they said they were going to give me a free dimond watch. i was supose to pay them 19.99 per month for 5 yrs thats ruflly 1200 dollars ok well that night they took 147$ out of my account and the next day they took 147$ out of my account so i tried to get ahold of them and couldnt because the number had been changed. so i cancled my card. 3 months later i start geting phone calls almost every 5 hrs from them i kept on telling them that i wanted a paper bill and they never sent it in a hole 6 months i recieved 3 magazines and they said that i still owed 1200 dollars well one unlucky person one the other end of the phone got all of what i felt about this company. I basicaly told them that there business was a scam because to me it is. I Then proceded to tell them that i was going to call the BBB and then my lawyer. NRS MAGAZINE CONTACTED ME AS WELL
AUTHOR: tabitha - (United States of America)
SUBMITTED: Thursday, January 19, 2012
I'm writing because I read your story, and it sounded a little familiar. My intuition told me to check it out. Just a couple of days ago, January 16,2012. I was contacted by this NRS magazine company and they said I had been choosen for some sweepstakes entry, and i would have to buy some magazines for a monthly payments of $68.28. but i would receive a diamond watch and i'd only have to buy 3 magazines but i was getting 5 total. They kept saying they would send free gifts, like the diamond watch....then asked for my credit card info and I should've said no but it was one of those catch you off gaurd moments & your thinking that it's just a one time payment and you'll get some gifts and magazines! I usually don't even respond to these types of calls. I did, i gave them my credit card info and i got order # c-208/ and tracking # 14208952. The funny part is this they called me from a restricted phone number so i wouldn't have a way of calling them back. Today is the first time they actually tried to charge my card $68.28 1/19/2012 it didn't go through but i definitely knw that this was a scam! big time... thank God my card has fraud prevention because it will contact me to make sure my card isn't being used by anyone else if i didn't approve it. My card has a block on it as of now! I definitely won't do it again. This company or whom ever it is needs to be stopped from taking people's money by false advertising, and scaming people to buy magazines...and taking ppl's money. Never give out personal info over the phone or via internet unless you know the company or person very well and can vouch for their character or business.
