Sold us a useless extended warranty for a $2300.00 TV. When we were ready to purchase the Plasma TV, we were fully aware of Samsungs 2 year warranty.

When we contacted Vann's to make the purchase and they told us about their NSI Protection Plus warranty that protect us for an additional 2 years. We specifically said we didn't want a 2 year warranty on top of a 2 year warranty but the salesman from Vann's assured us that we were paying for an additional (extended) 2 years, making it a 4 year warranty. The brochure explaining the warranty even states "Coverage up to 5 years". We ALWAYS buy extra coverage for expensive items and we ALWAYS double check what we are getting. Within two years, the screen went black. Samsung covered the repair 100%. 6 months later, orange and green lines appeared on half of the screen.

I called the number on the Vann's Product Protection Plus brochure to place a service call using the extended coverage we had purchased for $250.00 and connected to NSI.  They told me the warranty expired the same time the manufactures warranty expired. All they would say is, I'm sorry your having problems with your 3-year old $2300 TV!!!!! I called Samsungs local authorized service center and was basically told it was the screen and wasn't worth fixing. So Vann's, if you're reading this, I'm filing a dispute with my VISA card issuing bank to get the $250.00 you charged us for a warranty you lied to us about. The fact that the TV needed repairs before it was even 2 years old and now after 3 years is junk is another issue I guess I have to take up with Samsung.
