I saw an article online that Joanna Gaines developed this great skin care line and was offering free samples. For just the cost of postage you could try this product. I tried the product filling out the form and agreeing to pay 4 dollars and some change each for two samples to be shipped. almost immediately I got an email from my bank telling me that a charge suspected to be fraud was made to my account and to contact them. I called my back and the two $4 shipping charges showed up as legitimate charges and with it a charge for some skin product from another country for $40 ish and that was the charge that was flagged as fraud. So, being the nieve person I am, I let the bank know that it was not a product I ordered, it wsas indeed a fraudulent charge, but the two samples from a different company that showed up as legitimate were ok. My co- worker had order this sample the week before so when I went into work Monday, I immediately told her about the fraudulent charge on my account when I used my card to order the free sample. She immediately checked her card and found charges for over $200 from the company that sent her the free sample. She immediately called her credit card company who told her that she was charged for some kind of subscription. I immediately called the Nuluxe to tell them about the fraudulent charge and that I wanted no parts of any other charges from them as subscription etc...and told them about my co-workers charges. Nuluxe rep (Crystal) told me that all my co worker had to do was call them and that they in no were responsible for a compromised card. They assured me that there would be no further charges for my free samples. Lo and behold, eve though my card was replaced they managed to charge my account $85.95 and $89.95 thwo days age as they pay visa extra to obtain new card information for "subscriptions". I immediately called my bank who is filing fraud and attempting to deal with this. I called Nuluxe back and reminded them that we spoke the first business day after my order of "free" samples and was told that there were no other charges and that all my co worker had to do was call them and that they understood that I did not want to be a part of any subscriptions etc etc....and that they need to credit my account the money the took fraudulently and Crystal refused stating she had no intentions of crediting my account. My bank tells me that they advertise free samples and then actually charge you for the samples...that is how they get away with it. I have found a similar ad for nuluxe free trial with no mention of any subscrition or other charges anywhere (minus the lies about Joanna Gaines). then I found what evidently they are correcting to since they are being flagged as fraud...and that is "order the product, try it for two weeks and then pay for it". That is not the ad I ordered te "free sample" from and it is not the ad my co-worker ordered from. They sold us free samples for the price of shipping. Now they are trying to charge an outrageous amount of money for these products that are so bad I would have never ordered them after the free sample. Their product is so bad that they have resorted to fraudulently respresenting Joanna Gaines as the creator and owner of the company and charging for samples that were advertised ad free plus shipping. Do not do business with this company and if you find yourself in this position file as many complaints and charges as you can so that we can put this company out of business and stop this deceptive practice.
